Is there a mount for this device?** A: Don't believe so as it charges via 5v USB connection. You can of course easily adapt from 12v via converters easily found. **Q: Can it be used on land for hiking?** A: Yes, but NO... As cleanly stated by the manufacturer: 1. This is marine gps, not a terrestrial gps 2. The detailed maps are coastal and to deeper water, or lakes/rivers 3. As with all Garmin there is a simple base map, but has little to no detail for hiking... just the big picture. 4. This is a marine GPS and is set up for configuration with other marine devices on your boat, and not for terrestrial purposes… However it does connect to your watch which you can use to record your steps and movements, but other than that it is not for anything terrestrial in any great detail.
