Not what I expected
This scooter is hard to get to the direction you want to go. It only allows tilting as a method of turning. It’s not working out for my son. He needs a scooter that is easy to ride and turn when you need to turn.

Perfect for growing 4-year-old.
We bought this for our son’s 4th birthday, and so far, it has been a perfect gift! Wanted something solid that he can grow into, and this hits the nail on the head, especially for the price. It’s also a plus that our son thinks the light-up-in-the-dark feature is the coolest thing.

Great scooter for first timer!
My son is 5 years old and not the most coordinated or athletic yet. This scooter has been awesome to start with and gives my son more confidence then with the two wheel style. We love using it, it fits easily in our vehicles. The quality is great. Definitely a good purchase! He will likely be using it for the next couple of years. Handle bars adjust to fit his growing body.

Seems like a neat scooter, but is Missing Parts
So I bought two of these scooters for Christmas presents. The blue one arrived in pristine packaging with everything ready to assemble. The instructions were followable. Just keep in mind that if the front of the scooter is facing you, the gold bolt goes into the front wheel on your right. (So it is the rider's left front wheel.) That was a nice touch to keep that wheel from getting loose over time. The reason I gave this item a two star rating was for the second one I received, a red one. The footplate portion already came assembled, which was different than the first one I received, but the box was missing the top t-bar bolt and cover, the user manual, and all the allen tools that are needed to assemble or take apart the scooter pieces. I'm assuming this item was returned and sloppily repackaged and resold. And since it didn't come with a user manual, the only reason I knew what I was missing is because I had just assembled the first one. I probably would have assumed that you just press the handle bar into the base and then given it to my child, and it wouldn't have been secured properly and could have broken on him later.I'll update this review if the seller responds to my message about the missing parts. I think it is going to be a really great scooter and it looks really fun. But buyers beware, and be sure to carefully check the contents you receive in plenty of time before trying to give it as a gift!

Do not recommend.
We purchased this at the end of April. Not even two months later it doesn’t work properly. Poor quality. Handle will not stay screwed on. In less than 2 months of purchase for my 5 year old it does not work and is dangerous.
