Copystars DVD Duplicator 24X CD DVD Burner 1 to 5 Copier Sata Dual Layer Burner DVD Duplicator Tower SYS-1-5-ASUS-CST

I use this copier to serve in christian ministry, copying photo DVD's for a prison ministry. The unit has cut my time by 80% in copying DVD's. This will copy 1 - 1 through 1 - 5, making quick work of a tedious, time consuming task. I recommend this unit for its ease of use.

The setup was easy, just follow the instructions included. This is very good. It duplicates 650mb disk to 5 cds in about 3-4 minutes. It also recognizes if there is a bad blank cd inserted. So far, we have duplicated about 600 cds and they are good. We will be working on DVDs soon. Steps involved: 1. Check the voltage setting in the rear to your country specific voltage (110V in US) 2. Plug the cable, turn on the power in the rear. 3. Push the Start button in the front - bottom - center. It takes half a minute to boot up. 4. Insert source disk in the top tray. It reads and loads the data. (do not remove the source disk) 5. Insert blank disks. It verifies and warns of bad disks. 6. After all disks are inserted wait till lcd screen shows the number of disks you inserted. Push the ENT button to start duplicating process.

JUNK. Came in with DVD master and three copies in unit. Was told "not used, just testing unit with those DVDs".. Yeah. Right. I kept it as this was the SECOND one (first was DOA). After thirty copies, it no longer powers up. Tried different power cords, etc. NO POWER. Warranty is three years/one year. So, how do I return this junk? I'm in a sad situation in that I need to duplicate about 100 CDs and DVDs for a project......can't 'cause this junk won't power up. CONTACT ME NOW. JEE

Very happy so far! I will be using this a lot but had to get cds of course. After those came easy to use. I have burned 40 cds today and happy. I check the cds as I go as that is the way I am. 40 for 40! I have the burner in an open area so it has all the air it needs to help with cool down. Doesn't seem hot but its a machine do just in case. Highly recommended by me. Been burning cds for 20 years! I don't do dvds so can't say anything on that. I'm hoping to down the road.

Its a pretty good cd burner. works fast, although walmart brand cds wont work....i buy Verbatim. One of the drives broke after 3 months, but the customer service was very fast and helpful and helped me troubleshoot it so it started working again. and they will replace any broken parts for up to 1 year. so overall very satisfied

The first thing I noticed when plugging this in was a very audible clicking noise from the power supply. When i turn it ON it goes away, when I turn it OFF it returns instantly. I have worked with many PC's which this basically is, and have never known that to be normal. We also have two other duplicators that don't do this. I emailed Copystars and was told that it was a normal noise and all of their machines did that. Well, if that's the case, I don't want an exchange either. So I returned it and Amazon gave me a full refund (Thanks Amazon). In all fairness, I did go through many reviews and no one complained about the noise or mentioned it. I also did try the machine once and aside from the noise when OFF, it did work perfectly. I was not comfortable with a possibly defective power supply that I had to keep unplugged for fear of it causing a fire which I am not sure it would have hence the return but I don't like to take that kind of chance. I also was not happy with the response from Copystars and cannot believe all of their machines make this noise. That's why I gave it 2 stars. I hope it works well for you as it has for many others if you buy from them. Update: After my review, Copystars did contact me to apologize for the communications error and the unit.

For the most part works okay. Only 4/5 burners work. Tried burning DVD'S and it said they copied but after 20 I checked and they wouldn't play on a computer or DVD player. Works great doing just music cd's.
