I wear a medium and the fit is true and looks lovely on. The chiffon overlay is just perfect for hiding those annoying body problems, like tummy bulge. The color is true and overall the dress fits great, looks great and is elegant looking.

I am so happy I took the chance and ordered this. This dress is adorable. Thicker material than I expected which is preferred. The thick cotton bodice is a little bit clingy so I would order a size up as others suggested to have it hang correctly. I am 57 with curves. I hate my arms so the upper Cape helps hide. I bought in black for work dinner and can imagine wearing several times. Its dressy but not formal and great addition to any closet for this price. So happy.

I got this dress to wear to a wedding. It is very flattering, with the cape it looks fancier than I thought it might. The size is true, I got a medium and that is mostly what I wear. The length was good, as I don't care for above the knees and this hit just below. The V neck is a little lower than I usually wear but am thinking it will be OK. The only downside so far, since I haven't actually worn it yet, is the hip area. It had roominess there that I didn't need so had to run it up an inch on each side through the hips to make it more straight. When you look at the outline of the dress you would see what I mean. Wasn't a real problem since I sew, I just did what was needed, problem solved... looks good now!I would recommend this dress to others, I think it will be very comfortable, plenty of stretch and ease of wear.

This dress looks a lot more expensive than $40! Will be wearing to an outdoor summer wedding where the attire is recommended as "cocktail yet whatever makes you feel confident"! This fits the bill for.me. I am 5'0" and 158lbs. Am wearing an XL petite but could've worn an L comfortably. Am wearing a shaper undergarment to lessen hip and tummy bulges which might show with pencil skirt type dress under the flowy Cape but the bottom half of this dress is not tight nor restraining. It's almost a cottony jersey feel. Very flattering I feel, wearing with black wedgy shoes (grass so no pointy heels!) I might have small shoulder pads sewn under the cape as the shape is a little rounded at the shoulder, v neck always a good choice for us shorter folk. For the price, this dress is very nice, can be dressed up or down, most importantly, I'll know I'll feel confident wearing it as it covers upper arms without having to be hot in warm weather.

The top section of the dress is navy and has a V-neck with an angled, off center cut. Both the V-neck and the off center cut are flattering for someone like me whose waistline is not yet very thin. The top part is loose and flowing, so it has a feminine feeling. The bottom part is a black pencil style skirt. Since it is such a contrast in style to the top, it adds to the illusion of greater height and a slim line. I wore this to my son’s wedding with an antique lapis lazuli necklace and several people had positive comments. But BE AWARE that the dress comes VERY wrinkly! Thankfully our hotel room provided a steamer—what a God send! My hips are shrinking with my food plan, but this dress was very flattering to my shrinking waist and hips.
