Vaultz Locking Storage Clipboard for Letter Size Sheets, Key Lock, Black (VZ00151)

Love this case! I've had them in the past and always loved them! Works great for art therapy coloring (can easily store books and markers inside). I've also used them as a clipboard with a planner and important papers inside. So many uses, great for all ages (well, ages 5+ probably lol)

This is a great product. It is a clipboard on top with lockable storage inside. Basically a portable desk. The outside is covered with a smooth black exterior that has a subtle faux leather texture but is basically smooth and makes a good writing surface. The sides are not flimsy or bending. Those who call this product cheap and flimsy are wrong. This is a good, rugged field box and gives a feeling of good quality. As others have mentioned, the clip on the clipboard top is strong and will hold up to about 1/3rd inch of papers securely. The aluminum side rails and steel corners make for long lasting use, The corners, hinges, lock, clip, wall hanger and even nameplate are all riveted for secure holding. The box even has 4 small metal feet on the hinge side so it can stand like a briefcaseThe lock functions just like a briefcase lock and the combination can be changed to whatever you want and instructions for doing such are included. Two D rings on the sides allow for carrying with a strap, but being a clipboard primarily, I do not use it that way. Inside is ample room for storing documents, forms, writing pads, cell phone, flashlight, wallet, eyeglasses, calculator, maps, etc... The interior has a black cloth lining with a velcro strap for holding documents secure and the lid side has 4 net pockets with elastic. Three pockets along the bottom are small and would only hold small items like a pencil eraser. The top pocket is bigger and would hold half sheet size papers or whatever. There is a keyhole hangar on the back, but I can't see anyone hanging this thing on a wall. I will probably just put Gorilla tape over the hangar hole to keep out debris.The case is made in Viet Nam. It is an excellent value for the $27 and would be worth even more. For that amount of money you could not ask for more than what this delivers. This is a handsome, rugged and functional clipboard/field box/portable desk and can be used by almost anyone in some way. Great for students, people who work in a field job, as a document box to keep in a car or truck, in an office, etc... Recommended.

Hear me out, I love this clipboard. It's got a lot of space, it looks real schnazzy, it's got a lock on it for all you people dumb enough to trust a lock on a 30 dollar clipboard. It's really a great clipboard. I call it disposable, because it will inevitably break on you. It's not built to last a lifetime. My first one (yes, I liked it enough to buy again) lasted me about 1.5-2 years. Great right? I think so. It could be built better, it does not reek of high quality, but as long as your easy enough on it, it will do the job. And for the record, I don't push papers, this clipboard goes out to construction sites with me. When I'm writing up jobs, the exterior clip has enough force to hold dozens of papers, the inside compartment has enough space to hold brochures, business cards, small tools, extra paper, pens etc. And the writing surface on the outside is very forgiving, it's great to write on. As long as this one holds up for a year or two, I'll buy it a third time.

Sturdy and practical, this clipboard is perfect for my work in healthcare. I went with the whiteboard for easy documentation, works as expected. Has mesh pockets inside and a nice velcro strap for a pad of paper or possibly a tablet. Inside has a lot of room, more than enough for paper and pens.My only complaint is that the whiteboard version doesn't come with the number lock option (at least from what I saw), so you're left with the standard Vaultz key which is the same for all Vaultz products. While this likely won't happen, it would be easy for someone with another Vaultz key to get in and take something if they wanted. I wouldn't leave it unattended for long periods of time with sensitive documents or other valuables inside for this reason. If you also work in healthcare I'd consider skipping the whiteboard option for something with a number lock instead.

As a clinician who works in the hospital, I am often running around between patients. I found myself needing to write notes/reminders for patients, carrying lots of paperwork including papers with PHI/PII (personal health information/personally identifiable information), needing my chapstick, etc. I didn't like bringing a purse with me as it's not as easy to disinfect. Furthermore, I am forgetful and if I leave a purse or normal briefcase behind, people could rummage through it in theory. I wanted to make sure I was HIPAA-compliant and protecting my patients' information. Therefore, I bought this since it has a lock on it!Coworkers tease me for it because it definitely looks geeky, but they also think it's very smart! It's definitely saved me a lot of trouble and worry.The lock works perfectly. I love the added shoulder/cross body strap and use it every time. The latch continues to work well. And the briefcase holds so much stuff, including my laptop!

I deliver appliances for a living. This clipboard is durable plenty of storage holds all my paper work etc this is a great option for anyway in the delivery field of work or anyone looking for a decent clipboard for whatever your work load is! Highly recommend

Love the whiteboard and layout of internal storage. But I paid about $40 for it, and the quality of product I received seemed more in line with the dollar store. Many parts loose and jiggly or misaligned. Still functional, though. This would be an amazing product if made to higher quality standards.
