Great quality natural chew
What a great bone, we have 4 big Labradors always taking it in turns to chew on this bone, I wasn’t confident it was going to last long, but 3 weeks later they are still going strong with it!It feels very strong and well made, there are now bits missing but for the most part it is still intact. The dogs loved it when they first got it, but they got a little bored of it after a while, they do still get interested in it when one picks it up and they all spend the evening chewing on it.Overall, I find this a great value bone and has great durability.

My collie loves this, been busy with it for hours and no damage.
The media could not be loaded. Blue is an 8ish year old Border Collie. Like most collies he is always on the go. We walk him often but have to be careful not to overdo things as he has hip dysplasia, trying to get a balance can be difficult. When he isn’t walking but isn’t tired his mind is looking at what to be up to next, that is where this antler comes in. Antlers are a brilliant natural chew that doesn’t contain glue and other things like raw hide or nylon like some chews, they are beneficial in many ways. Blue loves his antler, we gave it to him earlier and his face lit up, big eyes and a waggy tail. It is a shaped section so the best bit. He has been laying on his bed with it for ages. It is great that he isn’t bored and isn’t up to mischief. The chewing is really good for helping to clean his teeth. After him having it all evening the antler has no damage and no bits have split off. This is brilliant for keeping him busy and not moping around. I have no hesitation in recommending this at all.

Not what I would call large, and I have to supervise chew sessions.
Our 3 year old Border Collie, Storm, is a relatively small collie, but has a heck of a gob on her when it comes to chewing things. Fortunately, she's always kept that chewing to things she's meant to chew. That maybe because we make sure she has a ready supply of products such as Nylabone and Kong, and many natural chews such as antlers and coffee wood and treats such as rabbits ears and hooves. We've been using antlers with Storm for two and a half years. In fact, we're using the same antlers. We bought her first one for Christmas 2019, and the second one Christmas 2020. As you can see in the photos, they're still going. And she has given them an absolutely pounding over the years. The small one, the oldest one, was originally the size of my forearm and has been whittled down through years of grinding and gnawing. That was sold as a large antler.Which is why I have a problem with a 175g antler being sold as large. It just isn't a large antler. And being that size, and the shape it was when it arrived, Storm has been able to get all of her mouth's torque into chewing it and has made light work of it. Within three or four minutes of giving it to her I heard a big crack and found that she'd already splintered a piece off. A couple more minutes and another piece had gone. It means that I have to supervise her when she's chewing on the antler as I don't want her choking on the shrapnel. Her other antlers live in her toybox and she has carte blanche access to them.Since the initial chew, nothing else has come off that I've noticed. She's into the chunky part of it and it's standing up quite well now. It's difficult to compare like for like with the other antlers as they we three times as expensive, but also she has complete access to chew them whenever.Storm is really enjoying the antler, so I can't fault it there. I just have a little trouble with it being called large. It's a lot of money for a chew that I'm not sure will last more than a few months at best.

Not very big yet expensive!
The media could not be loaded. Purplebone Premium Highland Red Deer Antler Dog Chew, 175g Size Large, Bar Treat for Regular & Large Breeds | 100% Natural & Long Lasting | Grain & Gluten Free | No Artificial Preservatives. This is alot smaller than I expected and it says its the large size, I wonder how big a small one is!I was also expecting it to be the shape as in the description pics but as you can see from my review pics it's not.We have 2 rescue dogs and decided to give it to our older girl, she's nearly years old and a lab x staff.I wasn't sure on whether or not she would be interested in it but yes she immediately got to work on it, she seems to really like it.Our younger boy who's 4 years old and a frenchie x sprocker has had a go at it to, but not as interested as our older girl. This is a natural treat for Dogs, I do prefer to give our dogs natural treats, I avoid rawhide tho at all costs!I can reccomend but due to the price its just something I cannot afford to buy as its very expensive for what it actually is.
