Gorgeous book filled with amazing images

Wonderful book! Really enjoyed seeing the interiors of some private palazzos in beautiful Venice. This is truly an interior design book that doesn’t just focus on the beauties of the city but pretty much some of the peoples private spaces. Some interiors are very sumptuous and some are modern and it features as well a little bit of art designers abodes at the end of the book.Even includes a passage about Mariano Fortuny and the exquisites textiles that are manufactured in the factory.In my opinion It’s a superior book than Inside Venice the other book that I have of interiors in la Serenissima.Really enjoyed it and recommend it.

I have many coffee table books. This is the most beautiful. Photography is spectacular and quality of the paper and book are wonderful.

Another first rate art book by Flammarion. This gives us a new perspective on Venice. It shows how the wealthy cognoscenti live. Most of the rooms are breathtaking - some of the most ornate and unique I've ever seen. Just a very few of the modern art paintings and lamp fixtures look they belong in the Peggy Guggenheim Museum or Gwyneth Paltrow's Eurotrash home (light fixtures from Star Trek). Eighty to ninety percent of the pages are full of opulent things you won't want to miss - so grab a copy before this disappears or the price goes up!

I've got a whole shelf in my library for Venice interior books. This one is the best. Hugely better than Venetian Chic - from Assouline - which costs £85-90 in different outlets - and is actually ONE woman's blasted HOTELS!! Plus a bunch of full colour photos of threads and bits of glass. BUT this book is totally gorgeous. Real homes in the surreal setting of Venice. Buy it for a friend if you want them to love you, buy it for yourself if you need a treat.
