Thorough Review for Pre-Algebra and Algebra
I am a highly qualified teacher for the State of Alabama, and I choose to homeschool my twin children who are now in seventh grade. One is exceptionally gifted, but I have tried for the longest to not let this child skip subjects or grade levels because academic material can almost always be added onto everyday curriculum to add challenge without skipping subjects or grade levels. However, this child is a very independent, critical thinker and has carefully reviewed our seventh grade Math textbook, Principles of Mathematics: Book A from Purposeful Design, that we will be using this upcoming school year. After such review, he asked to study math for the summer in hopes that he could skip to the Pre-Algebra course in its entirety or Algebra I.Indeed, I wanted to support my child with such a selected task, so I purchased this daily review book. During the past two days, he has successfully completed the first six pages of the book. Since it is equally divided between pre-algebra and algebra reviews, it will be obvious to pinpoint his current understanding of the two concepts. I would certainly agree that this book would be suitable for the grades indicated by the publisher. In fact, it is enough review to determine the most appropriate math class or which math book to use with a homeschooled child.

Wtf?
I have never left a feedback in 10 years. This one blows my mind. The new book is in bad condition.

Great addition to my classroom
This book is wonderful. It can be used as entrance problems, exit tickets and short quizzes.

Its not a textbook
Its good for what it is. It's a book of exercises..there are no instructions or lessons. That being said I'm fluent enough in Algebra that I can get my precocious 9 year old through all the lessons except for a few; those I can easily read about again and refresh my memory and still be able to teach.

Very Useful Resource
Very useful resource to use in the classroom to help students get in a math mindset before the real learning begins.
