This brake fluid tester is really spot on. I have done several test to check its accuracy and each time it gave the correct reading. I also used it after testing brake fluid boiling points with a unit that measures the boiling temp to determine if the fluid is bad, and I can tell you that again this unit performed good. I see some similar testers did not get good reviews. It could have been the unit or the person doing the testing. I can tell you this unit works. The only drawback to this unit is that it does not come with batteries. It takes LR44 (3) batteries.

Before installing small round batts, measured them with a tester, all 3 batts read yellow which is middle territory between good and bad charged batts, be aware of this as not to culprit brake fluid tester for not reading well. Are cheap generic batts which has been sitting for a long time, installing new ones of a quality brand is the way to go.Provided installation & usage literature was found a bit confusing, after several attempts managed product to work. Measured brake fluid on 3 different cars, all showed green light, as a test poured a brand new brake fluid into a small container, light flashed green, added water droplets, light flashed yellow, added more water droplets, light flashed red, so it's doing its homework right. If tester is well cared for should last for many years..

Great device for testing moisture in brake reservoir. I used it to test the moisture level on my '22 Harley Davidson. Worked as stated. Very satisfied with this product.

Its ok. Hard to turn off. Other than that it works like it should. Not terrible for the price.

So far has worked well. Tested a few different cars. They all came up green, so thought maybe it doesn't do any other color. So added a drop of water to some brake fluid in a cup and tested again. This time it was Red. It has 3 different l.e.ds that light up according to the condition of the brake fluid. Green, yellow and red. They refer to the water content in the fluid, Which is on the packaging. The tester itself only has good, okay, Bad on it. The tester takes 3 LR44 batteries which are included. There are no directions on how to use but should be easy to figure out. Mine is new so I have not seen the issue about the electrodes coming out. Future edit if that happens.

4 stars: works well AFAIK, but I have not tested it with old fluid and moisture.The fact that it tests "no problems" on a Toyota car that has brake fluid that must be about 17 years old (still looks fine, but I'll get it flushed) makes me wonder.

This brake fluid tester works well, usually change brake fluid every 2-3 years in my vehicles, and this takes the guess work out of the condition the fluid and I test it every couple months to be proactive and ensure that the fluid doesn't build up to much moisture and damage (Corrode) the internal components of the ABS system and brake calipers, it helps to avoid costly and inconvenient repairs. Recommended

Un poco engorroso su manejo y no me gusta que trae pilas de botón, si trajera 3a sería mucho mejor. Su fiabilidad la comentaré más delante.
