Good ITX 12th-14th gen Intel motherboard
Good, basic, inexpensive motherboard for 12th-14th gen Intel socket 1700 CPUs. Works great with my i5-12400F and related RAM and parts. PC3200 RAM is the maximum this chipset supports (a function of the chipset, not something Asus can control). The motherboard cannot overclock RAM or CPU (again, a function of the chipset; not something Asus can control). The instructions are clear, everything booted up and worked on the first try, and the board has been absolutely reliable in near-daily use. If you need a cheap ITX board for a non-overclocking CPU with DDR4, this is a great choice. The BIOS support (namely, the continued BIOS updates) is good, and is in line with other Asus motherboards; this is good.

Solid budget ITX board for 12th gen Intel
Built a compact system with this board and it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it. BIOS is straightforward, POST times are quick, and the layout is sensible for the limited ITX space. VRM temps stay reasonable even with my 12700K. It’s not feature-packed like higher-end boards, but for the price point it delivers stable performance. The DDR4 support was perfect since I already had RAM on hand. Good choice if you’re doing a small form factor build without needing tons of PCIe slots or overclocking features

Included SATA cable covers the RAM slot
Maybe I don’t need to knock a star off for this, but the included SATA cables were interesting. There’s a 90 degree one for, I assume like usual, connecting to the motherboard. But the SATA port is backwards and it covers the RAM slots. I’ll update if I come across more pressing issues.

Works on a Lian Li PC-CK101 Train Case with Linux and Existing 300-W SFX Power Supply!
I purchased this mITX motherboard to install in my 2012-made Lian Li PC-CK101 Train PC case. Installation has been expectedly challenging in such a cramped case. The motherboard is installed in the steam locomotive's water tanker, with power cables leading to the locomotive itself. This board has been 100% functional. Everything, including the front panel USB slots, have worked! What I especially liked about this installation is that, the PC's existing 300-W SFX power supply is still usable! Of course, that depends on the CPU and any graphics. I'm running an i5 12600 with inbuilt graphics, along with the enclosed CPU fan. Not interested in gaming, using this just for my house related work, research, and software development. I didn't need to upgrade the power supply, though I know that I will need to eventually do this as modern processors become demanding. The operating system is RedHat Enterprise Linux 10.1 and it works straight out of the box! I may install Ubuntu if I don't like this, but I'm not using Windows and therefore no need for installing newer drivers. Maybe I'll install linux drivers from the Asus website (if available). All in all, a very satisfactory installation and a highly satisfied customer!

Factory design defect
EDIT: Attempted install of this motherboard. This CANNOT be used with non OEM heatsinks as the motherboard does violates ATX standards by placing VRM components where the heatsink bracket should go. This is a critical design defficiency and should be pulled from the market.

poor design and an extremely limited I/O, but it works at a good price
I purchased this motherboard in advance for a 3D printed computer case I designed, which I finished this weekend. I wanted a cheap motherboard to use in this build, so this is the option I purchased since I have used ASUS motherboards previously. Firstly, the price is fantastic. This is by far the most alluring factor in purchasing this motherboard. It functions, has a basic BIOS, and is usable. However, it is obvious which corners were cut to keep the price of this board so low. There is almost no I/O on the motherboard. I know mini-ITX boards typically don't have a large selection of ports, but there is about 4 USB ports total. This is lower than any other motherboard I have used and if you use a keyboard, mouse, and USB headset then 3 of the 4 ports are already being used. There is no wifi included, so if you plan on installing a wifi card just spend the extra money on a better board with wifi. Also, I hate the design of this board. These mini-ITX boards are small and therefore have less space, but it almost feels like it's designed to frustrate you. For example, the case fan headers are directly under the CPU cooler. This means, depending on the cooler, you will have to either plug in case fans before installing the cooler or remove the cooler later to connect the case fans. Not ideal at all. Another design I don't love is for the M.2. The location requires you to install it over a heatsink covering the motherboard chip. The problem isn't that it goes over a heatsink, but that the M.2 standoff to screw it in is so shallow that the M.2 bends slightly over the heatsink. If you need the cheapest intel motherboard available in mini-ITX form, this is your board. Otherwise, buy something a little nicer.

Great little MB!
I have it running a filemaker server locally hosted. It hums along 24/7. I cannot find fault for the price!

I installed an Intel Core i5 12400 CPU on this motherboard which is running Windows 11 Home as the OS on a Samsung 970 EVO plus M.2 NVMe SSD with 16 Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 LPX 3200 MHz memory (two 8 Gb chips). No issues during Windows installation. Windows runs stable, no freezes, crashes or BSDs so far. No high CPU temps. Very pleased with its performance early on. This PC is intended for general use - no gaming.
