Buyer beware
Be careful with this company. You must read their terms of service. At the very bottom, it states they are going to send recurring shipments and save your card information which is something I NEVER authorize. My mistake for neglecting to read, but they make it easy to overlook. The product is not very good either. I got the moisturizer and the eye cream. The moisturizer broke me out, and the eye cream is worthless.

A nice serum
This is a nice serum, it doesn't come in a box but it is securely sealed. It is average size and a good secure bottle. I enjoyed this product.

Absorbs super quickly, skin feels great afterwards
I'm kind of bad at using skin serums, partially because I don't like the feel of leftover product on my hands. Of course I wash them, but if I don't get to do it right away then I hate the lotion/serum feeling on my hands. I'm sure that people understand where I'm coming from with this. What impressed me here is that this really does absorb super fast. I was actually sitting at my desk working when I put this on and because things got busy, I wasn't able to immediately wash my hands. This absorbed very fast and left no residue feeling, something that impressed me. It also absorbs very quickly on the face, also a positive. It means that you don't have to worry about potentially smearing product into your pillow if you do your facecare ritual right before bed. After one use my skin feels very soft and while it's going to take a while for it to fully deal with the most problem spots on my face, I could tell a difference moisture-wise.This product is going to seem pricey, but I will say that a little goes a long way. A half of a dropper was enough to moisturize both my whole face as well as my neck, so you'll likely only need to get one or two of these a year, depending on how much you use. That's still going to be a bit pricey for some, but it's not that bad when you consider how much some of the other higher end brands go for in store and online. It's also labeled as cruelty free, which is a bonus. I don't like the idea that an animal had to suffer for my products. I'm already trying to reduce my overall animal product consumption as a whole, meat products included, so this is a good step in that direction. I don't know if my various allergies and budget limitations will really allow me to go completely animal product free, but reducing consumption is still a good step in the right direction.Edit:I did a quick experiment. I recently shaved my legs and decided to try and see what this would be like if I'd put it on my legs. YOU GUYS. This stuff was amazing on freshly shaved legs. I don't know if I'd have done it if I hadn't gotten some as a review item or if I would do it from here on out, but Carrot & Stick is missing out on a huge market here for after shaving balms. Surely they could make something more leg specific? My legs feel amazing and don't have that "after shaving" feeling that I sometimes get, especially if it's been a while between shavings. I almost didn't add this except that it just worked so incredibly well.

I'm not seeing any results to the positive so far
This is a review for Carrot & Stick brand The Defense Anti-Aging Serum which at time of review is $60 for a 1oz bottle. I've been using this serum for the last couple of weeks around my eye area (in conjunction with a different serum I'm testing). So far I'm not convinced it's doing anything good or bad. My eye area doesn't feel any more moisturized than normal- if not a little dryer. I did add extra serum around my eyes after the first application- and I was disappointed to find once it dried it left a white film in that area- very noticeable. I expected more of this serum.

It’s a good serum, just pricey.
This serum applies nicely and absorbs quickly into the skin. It does not leave your skin feeling sticky. It is a mixture between water and gel, so it is like a true serum. It makes my wife’s skin feel tighter after applying too. It is a small bottle though with a high price tag. It would be better if it were a bit cheaper.

Nice serum. Hydrates and moisturizes. Works well with the face lotion
I really like this serum. I use it daily in the morning after showering and combining it with the Carrot and Stick face cream/lotion. This serum goes on smooth and absorbs quickly. It doesn’t leave a residue at all. It just…absorbs. And my skin feels moisturized but light. No thick or sticky residue. I can’t say I’ve seen any fine lines or wrinkles disappear yet but I think consistent use will help prevent more from forming. This is a pricey product, but I definitely think it’s worth it. I love it—and I have tried so many face serums, creams and lotions. Usually they feel too thick or too oily. This one is by far my favorite so far. Just wish it had a spf.
