La Mer is the most beautiful of all of the Staub colors! It is a blue green (more green than blue), majolique finish. The 7qt oval size is perfect, not too small and not too big. The oval shape is great for roasting a whole chicken or braising a pot roast. The black textured interior gives you a good searing surface. Of all of my enameled cast iron pieces (I have a lot of both Le Creuset and Staub), this is my most used piece. Get the chicken knob for it, it is so cute!

EDIT: The replacement was in perfect condition and is the stunningly beautiful piece I had hoped for! It has already become a piece I use every week for bread, roasts, stews, and more! All Staub is lovely, but in my opinion, the La Mer is incomparable and has an enchanting beauty that makes it a noteworthy focal point on any kitchen. I am so very pleased add this to my growing La Mer collection! PREVIOUS REVIEW: I was so disappointed to receive a damaged piece. It has a substantial crack that goes from the underside of the handle all the way into the interior of the piece. It also has a large scratch on the outer edge of the side and a substantial void of enamel on the corner of the same handle that has the crack. I will be returning and purchasing a new one that will hopefully be in acceptable condition.

I just broke my new STAUB 1003842 Cast Iron Roaster/Cocotte, Oval 33 cm, 6.7 L, La Mer in today using it to roast a Christmas duck, and oh my God, that bird came out perfectly cooked with the meat falling off the bone! Nice crispy skin, tender meat, and the cleanup afterward was quite easy! The skin of the duck's back was stuck to the interior, but some soaking and a non-abrasive scrubbing sponge took care of it in short order. This baby is gonna last me the rest of my life, and my children will get to use it!

after doing some research on different cast iron pots, I landed on staub as a gift for my husband. we've only used it a few times so far, but have been very happy with the results. it's obviously a very heavy piece, shipping speed was reasonable time considering the international shipping (france to nys). this is a great utilitarian piece that also looks great

I love Staub Dutch ovens. The 8.5 qt one is a little big for a family of 2, but it is great for roasting a whole chicken, a turkey breast, or a beef roast with all the veggies! It’s also great for making soups/stews with enough leftovers to freeze. I have the 5.5 quart round cocotte in matte black and this one is a great addition to cookware. I love that the interior is black so I don’t have to worry about stains.

I've been wanting a bigger Dutch Oven as my first 4 quart cast iron pot is a little small for soups or a chicken with vegetables. I also did not want the cream or white interior as they do not wear well and I don't want to bleach. So I started my search for enamel exterior and a black interior. Staub seemed to be the only logical choice. When I saw the Teal Limited Edition I thought the color was beautiful. However mine came a little darker than Teal. The French description is La Mer so it is more like the diamond in Titanic in color, but it is beautiful. The Amazon UK experience worked well for me in upstate NY I received it in 15 days and could not be happier! 2nd creation was chicken and dumplings and it came out delicious!

I was a little worried about this product coming from Japan to the US. Shipping was fast and arrived earlier than my scheduled date. The quality of the product was good. After receiving this product, I ordered another product. Thanks for sending me a good one, Seller! Looking forward to the other one.

It’s a scam.

This is my 3rd Staub item. They are very expensive - can't deny it. But I'm in the process of getting rid of all my various frying pans and casserole and other oven dishes and only using Staub and Chasseur. They're great quality and much easier to clean than you think. The only drawback is that if you are slightly build or have maybe arthritis in the wrists or shoulders, the items are very heavy and may not be right for you.

Le produit n’est pas bien decrit. La taille de la marque 27 est donnee en 32,5. Difficile de s’y retrouver et elle est donc trop petite.

Adoro panela de ferro fundido, a facilidade no uso ..do forno para mesa facilita demais.

Super Topf, würde diesen immer wieder kaufen. Benutze ihn gerne anstatt Dutch Ofen u zum Brot backen

eccezionale soprattutto per le lunghe cotture come stracotti, brasati, spezzatini. Se tenuta con cura è una pentola eterna. Ne comprerò altre di misure diverse.
