Definitely smells like peppermint. Be warned, if you place the it anywhere near the engine bay, the oil will evaporate within days.

This stuff works. Mice destroyed my engine harness several years ago. Since I started using it, not a nible.

Got these to try to solve a mouse problem in my truck that is parked most of the time. Mint smell isn’t too strong and pleasant, compared to the moth balls I was using. Haven’t found and nets on droppings inside and the haven’t chewed the fuel line again.

Does not work well. Cost me $4500 for new wiring harness. RATS!

Purchase this item because some squirrels decided to try and make a nest underneath the hood of my car. Not sure if it works because after I got the hood steam cleaned, I put the repellents underneath the hood and eventually parked somewhere else. I can say, I have not seen any sign of squirrels trying to make a nest underneath the hood.

Seems to work perfectly under hood of cars for the season. Bought in October exactly a year ago. We had a years-long problem with rodents building nests in the engine compartments of both cars, chewing wire and hoses, carrying snails on top of the engines and leaving broken shells glued into the mess. Tried everything, including cotton in concentrated 15% vinegar. (Burned my nose but apparently not theirs.) Tried this scented creme in a can in an F150 after a critter chewed through a water hose. At least it wasn't a wire harness. Not so much as a footprint in the dust after that. Replaced the can a few months later when I couldn't smell it. Replaced it again this year but I could not smell it and it had no effect on the rat currently harvesting firewall insulation. Just bought a fresh box to try again, and giving it a 5 because I really cannot expect a disk of scent creme to last a year. The cans are easy to use, just peel and stick. If they don't work this year then I will update this review accordingly.

Use these in the engine compartment of my truck to keep mice out. Adhesive pad on bottom surface makes it easy to stick to top of battery where the mice were nesting in the battery surround wrap. No mice since I started using these the other year.

Not sure if this really works. I have put it out in my horse shed and the mice are there. I have put it in my car and I don't have mice there, but I didn't to begin with. Put on a couple of spots in the house, but we have mice. So I don't think it really works.
