This Smart Indoor Garden Puts My Black Thumb to Shame
Black thumbs, gather 'round! The Click and Grow Smart Garden 9 is here to elevate your indoor gardening game. As someone whose plant-parenting skills rival Charlie Brown's, I was thrilled to test out this self-watering indoor garden system. Straight out of the box, the Click and Grow's smooth Scandinavian-esque design appealed to my minimalist sensibilities. Sleek and clean, it fits neatly on my kitchen counter without cluttering up precious prep space. Setting up the garden took all of 5 minutes—I just popped the seed pods in their little containers, added water, and paired with the app. The process was smoother than my morning cold brew. There's no fussing with soil, nutrients, or grow lights. The patented Smart Soil provides everything the pods need to thrive and the energy-efficient LEDs are calibrated to the plant's optimal light schedule. My main goal is to always have fresh herbs that I either can't easily find at the store or use frequently in my cooking, like basil, thyme, and mint. The starter kit came with basil, lettuce, and cherry tomato pods. I feel my black thumb is finally greening up. I can't wait to try more varieties like purple chilis and peppers to keep my kitchen stocked with homegrown flavor. The only negatives? The price tag gives me pause, but considering the quality and technology, it delivers good value. And that bright grow light positively beams. I time mine to turn off at night. While this would make a thoughtful gift for the black or green thumb in your life, I'd hesitate to give it to someone unless you know they have ample counter space. The smaller Click and Grow models may be better suited as presents. For anyone seeking an effortless, soil-free indoor garden, this product is a smart choice. It takes the guesswork out of growing and lets anyone cultivate a green thumb!

An outstanding gift
It was an outstanding gift for my son’s birthday. He was excited to have fresh herbs all winter long. He has an incredible garden in the summer. Plants are growing like crazy. Instructions were easy to follow.

Not built to last
Was great for about a year, but then it died on us. Issue with the Bluetooth.

The Plants Are Growing!
I have been interested in getting something like this for a while but wasn't sure how well they actually worked. I am really impressed with this. It was very easy to set up. Is SO easy to maintain. The plants are growing very nicely. The lettuce is growing the fastest (we already grab pieces of it to add to our sandwiches'/burgers as it seems to be growing the fastest). Every single pod is growing, but the tomatoes have not come in yet. The lettuce does seem to grow the quickest and I have no complaints about the quality. If you're looking for a quick and effective way to grow some herbs/vegetables in your home, I think this is a good choice. I have never been able to keep plants alive in the past. This makes it so much easier and is very easy to maintain.

Horrible !
I am a gardener but this is to say the worse experience , when I got this I was super excited , I garden outside and wanted something inside too, they first came up about 1 inch tall then everything went BAD, everything started dying off . I called support and sent pics which they said we had Thirp bugs, they are too small to see to naked eye, they are sending me more pods but im not so sure this will go well either. Too late for refund I guess . Do not waste your money , this was not cheap 300$ after tax

So cool!
This App and Touch Controlled Indoor Garden is such a cool and modern way to "garden". It is almost gamified with the app and the touch controls, making it fun to check in on and care for. This is a big plus in my eyes because I tend to hop from hobby to hobby and my interest in each of them ebbs and flows quite a bit. I have seen those massive garden towers promoted on social media and I know that for me, something of that scale is out of my scope but this Smart Garden is perfectly on par. The set up was simple and a fun afternoon activity this weekend. It also looks sleek and high tech and can sit directly on the counter, depending on the available space you have. If you are in the market for an awesome gift and have the budget for it, this Click and Grow Smart Garden will totally WOW. I also think this product is a great way for those who might be homebound or have limited mobility to enjoy a gardening hobby without all the other stressors and/or supplies usually required.

Simple setup ad operation, tall enough for decent sized herbs and small vegetables
I've been using a smaller self contained hydroponic setup ad have found it just is't big enough to grow much in. This one is larger, with a. larger tank and taller height. This will allow me to grow full size romaine lettuce heads, most herbs, and even miniature bush type tomatoes and cucumbers. I'm sure it can also be used to grow countless other plant for decoration or culinary use. Everything needed to put it into service was included, even seed packs. The unit looks very nice, and setup only took a few minutes. There is very little to do once it is set up and the seeds are planted. If you're looking for an extremely simple way to grow things indoors, I don't think you'll find an easier to use setup than this one.

Easy to grow. Over priced for the quality.
The Bluetooth control has never worked. It took almost a dozen times of resetting it to get it to connect. Less than a month one of the white lights has burnt out. We'll see if the other lights make it.

It's basically a very nice designed pot and pods, with a very decent grow light. It has its limitations, mainly the grow pods which tend to 'root lock', so plants will stop growing after the roots have nowhere else to go. With this being said, its totally hands off. No need to fiddle with light, nutrients, etc. Just put in a pod, and let it grow. So far, with the tomato, basil and lettice, its starting to sprout already. Looking at refill pods, they average $3 to $6 after tax and shipping to Canada. Not bad, but for a small grow, it might not be worth it other than the 'fun' and 'experience' of easy growing. In the future, the growing garden can definitely be modified to 'DIY' though with soil, bugs is always an issue. Using the kratky method also complicates, limiting the water pool with nutrients will require a pump to circulate and eliminate algae growth. Honestly, its a great 'locked' in system if buying the pods are fine. I don't mind it, and if anything, its a passive hobby thats maybe 9 x $5 = $45, every 3-4 months, not a bad investment for a basic hobby!

Item does not work. Purchased as gift and company promised to replace. They lied and just sent a piece of product instead and now I am passed my return window. Waste of money. Bought several pods as well for nothing. Claims to be covered under warranty and still can’t replace, exchange or refund. Awful product and customer service

The tab system for marking plants isn’t ideal, if you use non permanent markers they come off easily permanent markers don’t allow for change. I recommend writing on tape applied to tabs or better yet use the app to keep track of plant locations. Edit: The app is great for keeping track of plant location of their branded products. However it really doesn’t allow for much customization. The grow anything pods are quite expensive the app should allow customers to customize plant details and add custom photos similar to their hero icons.

Pros: - Quick and easy to set up - Sleek and clean design that will work in almost any living space - Actually comes with a set of very desirable plants with the starter kit including tomatoes, lettuce and basil - Truly a set it and forget it solution Cons: - App functionality really isn't very good. Because it uses bluetooth, you have to be near the device to actually use the smart features. The smart features are quite limited as well. You can adjust the light schedule and turns the lights on and off. You can also use the app to look at what vegetables you've planted, but you need to enter these manually. - When you factor in the limited smart functionality, this feels very expensive for what you get Overall: I found I had very mixed feelings about this indoor garden. For anyone looking to get one of these as a way to "Save money" on produce, I would strongly recommend you do the math and consider how much you're putting in in up front cost for the machine and the additional cost for pods. As a fun hobby, this works reasonably well, but even then you're paying a premium on this particular model for the limited smart features. Overall I'd recommend you go for one of their cheaper, smaller units rather than shelling out the big bucks for the large 9 pod "smart" unit.
