This is a fantastic blade that includes the 2nd detent which allows you to lock the blade a few degrees beyond its normal fully open position, very nice on your knuckles when you're cutting logs close to the ground. The tooth pattern and sharpness make it a cinch to fly through logs up to 10" in diameter with just a few pulls. I use this saw for backpacking and camping and, besides occasional pruning and shelter building, cut about two cords of firewood a season. That's about how long you should expect these blades to last. I always keep the old blade in case I come across a suspect log that might have nails or something in it.
