Mega Construx Destiny Aspect of Glass Building Set

While not as immediately recognizable as the first Mega Bloks Destiny Jumpship, the Arcadia Jumpship ( Mega Bloks Destiny Arcadia Jumpship Construction Set ), the Aspect of Glass is a fantastic set. Well-designed, with a fun build and sturdy construction, there's noticeable improvements in the stand design over the Arcadia, though there's no way to easily attach the stand to the Arcadia Jumpship at this time. Overall this is a great set, though as long as you don't mind a flimsier stand, the Arcadia Jumpship is still more visually interesting and immediately recognizable set and I'd advise picking that up first. Build Difficulty: 2/5; this set should be fairly easy for anyone who's used interlocking bricks previously, though small children might have trouble due to a large number of SNOT (Studs Not On Top) techniques throughout the build and the large number of unsorted parts. Sturdiness: 4/5; this set is very study but has three sets of winglets that are prone to being knocked off, and a boom on the front that can also be easily dislodged. Swooshability: 5/5; It's a spaceship and, stand or not, does a great job of being swooshable and fun, whether or not the included Hunter is in the cockpit. Other comments: The included Hunter is female, marking the first lady Guardian in the Mega Construx Destiny line. In addition, while I haven't tested it, it appears that her armor is fully compatible with other Hunters, but her overall form is slimmer, including the legs. Included Loadout is the Lord of Wolves shotgun, wearing a full set of Hunter Spektar gear, with what's likely the Goldspiral shader (I'll check in-game and update when I get the chance). In case, in your many raid attempts within the Vault of Glass in Destiny 1, you still haven't been gifted the Aspect of Glass among your many Vex Mythoclasts, FateBringers, Atheon's Epilogues, Visions of Confluence, Praedyth's Timepieces or Found Verdicts ... you can order it right here from Amazon. It's still pretty amazing, and you don't have to go into the game world to play with it. The only salt you'll encounter is if you knock one of the smallish pieces off the table. No more wiping because somebody stepped off the platforms or nuked half the fireteam with a Gjallarhorn round inside the titan's bubble during the damage phase. You'll only lose an hour or two to the dark corners of time while you put it all together.

My wife and I put this together one evening and had an enjoyable time doing so. The directions are easy to understand and the kit is fun to build. It looks cool when completed and makes a nice display in my wife's Destiny collection.

In reality I'd probably give this 3 stars for quality, but I mean, it's the Aspect of Glass, a ship I got on my only raid I ever did in Destiny, and was my favorite ship forever. I love Mega Bloks and Lego kits, and we have nearly everything that Mega Bloks (and now Mega Contrux) has done for Destiny and Halo, but this one really fell short of the quality mark. Pieces just poorly formed (see photo of example) and not fitting well at all. Not to mention missing parts. And since this is a new kit, it's not in the online system yet so I can't just request the parts online as I usually do, I'll have to call and get with a live person during business hours. Normally their builds are pretty solid, but this one isn't, with several parts of the engine construction being really poorly connected and prone to falling off if bumped. As I said, anything other than this ship, I'd give this 3 stars. Sitting alone somewhere on display, though, it'll be OK as long as I get the missing parts.

This set is pretty awesome. Any fan of the game that likes Mega Construx would be happy to have it. Only issue I had was it was missing a piece but fortunately it wasn't a critical one so I could get away with hiding it. I'd like to say that it was a one time occurrence but in my experience with these sets it happens a lot. I'm sure they would send the missing part if I asked but I'd rather not have too. At any rate it's still awesome.

Destiny has been my favorite game since it launched. I was a HUGE Megablok and Lego fan as a kid. These Destiny sets have officially brought my inner child back out. I'm 27 years old and have this, I also bought one for my 14 year old brother! I have this ship, the Arcadia Class ship, the Cabal Intercepter set, and a few of the sparrow sets!

Looks great when built, and entertaining to build, perfect for any Destiny fan. (I did swap the Hunter figurine to a diffemt model though, because it was too nice to waste hidden inside

the ship is fantastic. A personal favorite of mine from D1. My only complaint is with the figure, the right elbow joint wasn’t completely set and popped out. Easy enough fix though, great buy.

This is an amazing model very accurate to in game. I am now 16 and it still took 3 hours to build. Lots of gray parts made it very hard but a good hard. It is still a must buy though!

Great set, few different and interesting building techniques used to make it. Fairly solid too.
