Who can argue with the value of a clock at this price? It is very easy to read from across the room, keeps accurate time and was easy to hang on the wall.Yes, it is light weight and not as substantial as some others, but who can tell, once it is mounted on the wall?One drawback (and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is the noise, yes, it is loud. The ticking is loud, no humming or other motor noise. Not a problem for me since it hangs in the kitchen, but don't get it for your bedroom. If loud ticking annoys you in general you might have a problem with it too. It's not like it interferes with TV watching or conversation, but when the house is quiet, you do hear it.

This was not quiet, so I purchased a different one. I was surprised to even think about it until I got up late one night. It does work, and the color was right - just too noisy for me. I'm 73 and my hubby says I can hear a rat piss on cotton...so it's understandable that it bothered me.

For a decent looking analog kitchen wall clock, this pretty much fits the bill. As per other reviewers, I agree it makes a loud ticking sound. Unlike other reviewers, I actually find this relaxing - kind of like a grandfather clock or something - I'm just aware of it periodically in the background. We've had it hanging now for more than a month on our wall and haven't had any problems re: defects.

Quite nice. Well worth the price. Things I wanted and it has: 1) a second hand; 2) nice, clean, uncluttered face; 3) it ticks. Ticking is a matter of taste: some people hate it, some people like it. Even though I loathe most noise pollution (including incessant dog-barking and boom-cars), I experience the-ticking-of-a-clock restful and meditative. When ticking isn't around, I miss it. I guess I grew up with ticking clocks, similar to trains going by in the distance. This clock has a nice loud ticking. This clock comes in white, black, hunter green, and midnight blue. Amazon shows it as once-upon-a-time in maroon and slate blue, but those are unavailable at this time—drat.

No 'bells and whistles' on this clock which is what I wanted in the kitchen. It's simple but attractive, a true Hunter Green, and so far has kept perfect time. I hesitated over the word "plastic", and it would be nice if it were wood, but then again, it would cost more! No regrets over this purchase.

A nice clock! It stopped working after about 6 months (despite new batteries), but Amazon gave me a full refund, so I am happy!! I wish it had lasted longer, because it looked nice in my kitchen. Simple, easy to read, and the green color is nice. Maybe I just got a defective one? Thanks for great customer service, Amazon!

Super cheap. Right out of the box, the hands wouldn't move if it was laying flat. So I put it right up on the wall for my son to practice telling time, and it didn't hold the right time for more than about 1 day. Now it's mostly just "numbers practice" for him rather than "time-telling practice." It has a fine appearance. Not super sturdy or high-quality, but I wasn't looking for that, so it wasn't a disappointment. Just sad that it won't hold it's time.I read the same thing in several reviews, so I can't say I was shocked, but I hoped the hands would at least keep MOVING even if they were moving incorrectly, so that I could ask my son to tell me the time and he could read something that was different from the last time the hands stopped. It can't even do that.

A nice looking clock, but very very loud. I put it in my bathroom which was connected to my bedroom. The loud ticking noise was keeping me awake. Even after I closed the door to the bathroom I could still hear the thing ticking very clearly. I think I'll put it in the garage. I recommend this only to the hard of hearing or to those not bothered by a thunderous ticking noise.
