Booms Fishing CP2 Fishing Crimping Tool for Single-Barrel Sleeves

I use this crimper when making set ups for fishing. It works well and I haven’t lose a fish.

Purchased the Booms crimping tool because my old cheap crimper didn't do the job. My old tool looked like they crimped the sleeve sufficiently until I hooked a 25 lb pike and the leader slipped out of the sleeve and away the pike swam.Since then I have used the Boom tool to crimp my sleeves and you can just tell the sleeve and leader is way more secure. Haven't had any slipped leaders and I'm confident these crimp plyers will do the job for years to come.

They are made of a coated carbon steel. Salt water will EAT These alive UNLESS you rinse and oil them, same thing for freshwater. Maybe less it’s your funeral. The PIVOT is the big problem. The pivot WILL get wobbly because of the materials used.There are two spaces for crimping. One for small crimps and a second for slightly larger crimps. What is a nice feature is the ridges that create more pressure on the leader material itself 👍🏻 nice 😊The Handels are decent plastic that “SHOULD” last a while. And you get a lanyard with a button adjustment so you can tighten to your preference and not drop it into the Abyss. No sheath though.They do come fairly well lubricated , you will find out they rust easily and get wobbly if you don’t do FREQUENT maintenance on them.All and all you can make a lot of leaders before these are trash. You can use ti wire or coated stainless multi strand.Not the worst on the market and certainly not the best. My favorites would be my SERGEANT pliers 💪🏼But someone liked those more than me and liberated them. 🐀

I've purchased other items from Booms Fishing, and were never dissapointed. But these crimping tool is the nicest I've ever used.Easy to use, comfortable in your hand, crimps easily, produces a good crimp. Much easier to use than other brands. The textured teeth, make excellent crimps on florocarbon leader material.

Beefy crimpers made from cast material and then machined/finished for a smoother finish.

In addition to making leaders, I use the tool to crush the barbs on my hooks. I fish Pyramid Lake NV and they require barbless hooks.Great product!
