Godzilla Stomp Box (Godzilla vs. Megalon / Destroy All Monsters)

Purchased as a birthday gift for one of our thirtysomething nephews, a self-professed Godzilla fanatic. It was a no-brainer as he provides the family with a "gift suggestions" list. This two-fer definitely filled the bill. He was thrilled with it. He's happy. We're happy. Godzilla strikes again!

Disks run perfect. The movies are fun. The price was right.Can’t wait to watch them again with the soda and popcorn.

Destroy All monsters movie didn't play on the 2nd dvd

I really like the fact that the characters spoke very good English, and the picture quality was excellent. Lots of action and suspense throughout the movie.

Finding some of the older Godzilla movies can be difficult. These two are among my favorites. Seeing Godzilla team with Jet Jaguar in a tag team match against the bad guys brings a smile especially when Godzilla goes for two drop kicks. Although part of the movie is gimmicky (especially the underwater kingdon), Godzilla vs Legal in is good. Destroy All Monsters has to be one of the best of the Godzilla movies. The story, the acting and the monster scenes were all good. Seeing the whole gang get together at the end to protect Earth was a nice touch. This is a must for any Godzilla fan

This review is for the Destroy All Monsters / Godzilla vs Megalon combined DVD set.Megalon has the English language commentary that was not included in the initial DVD release.Hooray!

The ultimate in 70s Japanese Godzilla. Brought back weekends of me and my best friend watching Godzilla in elementary school.

まず、このDVDのリージョンは1ですので、リージョンフリーを除く再生機では再生不能ですのでご注意下さい。作品の内容については十分ご承知の方が、このDVDに注目したと思いますので、機能の説明に限定してレビューしたいと思います。2枚とも映画のタイトルロールで見る限りは日本語で表示されており、日本公開版を基に作られている様で、「怪獣総進撃（Destroy All Monsters）」は内容の短縮はされていない様です。「ゴジラ対メガロ（Godzilla vs Megalon）」は劇場で見ていないので、短縮の保証は申し訳ありませんができません。２枚とも標準の会話は英語ですが、日本語も選択できます。英語字幕表示の有無が選択できますが日本語会話に対応した字幕なので英語を選択した時でも会話と字幕が一致しないのが残念な点で、もう一つ日本語を選択しても映画の本編に挿入された説明用の英文は消えません。　私の購入時は￥4000を切る価格だったので国産DVDを単品で購入するよりは安価で良かったと思っています。
