Great for learning

Easy to use
This is a very cool little microcontroller. Simple to use and a great way to teach and get kids in to program. I like they use both block style and micro python. This give the flexibility to start learning the operations of functions and then moving to writing those functions. This is a great way to have what you programmed interact with the real world.

Excellent quality
BBC Micro:bit from Freenove has excellent quality and it is the latest version v2.21 of the board. I did a few tests with the device and everything works as expected: display (5x5 LED display) and sound. In the attached image you can see the device running the first project. Freenove provided good documentation on their website for the device. There are 12 projects in the provided documentation, all projects are in both MicroPython and Blocks (from MakeCode). I only tried the MicroPython projects because I already know Python and I like to write code. For children Blocks from MakeCode may be more appropriate and easy to learn.
