Fantastic!
I have had an Armaid massage tool since about 2002 or so. I still have the one I bought way back then and use it all the time. I just purchased a new one to keep in my office at work (one for home and one for work). This is the best tool for arm pain. It has allowed me to continue playing jazz guitar for many, many years beyond my original injuries in the early 2000s.

Great!
This thing is amazing! I am dealing with really bad tendonosis right now and felt a huge amount of relief after two days of starting it!

Works, but could use minor improvement
(This review is for the Extreme, with one orange ball.) I really love this tool. It digs in where previously I could barely work my knuckle. Being able to maintain a hold of pressure up the entire length of the tendon or pathway, from the carpals, through the wrist retinaculum, all the way up into the triceps for some pathways, is amazing! I work with my hands and am very active in general. I've had many small fractures to my hands and wrists and surgeries on both biceps. This ball worked through so many adhesions I thought I had conquered years ago. The tightest setting allowed me to work a tendon sheath where I had once punched a wall and once had a large metal pipe fall on the joint. The Armaid really helped this buildup of old injuries I thought would never get any better. The widest setting allowed me to work my bad ankle and really dig in all around the lateral malleolus and push through some very deep adhesions from multiple surgeries. For arms, I typically leave it set to the middle width. The only issue I see is that the ball is mounted on a curved piece of hardened steel wire set in plastic. I'm a very strong guy, though I'm sure the Extreme was designed for people with arms much bigger than mine. When I work it too hard, I see the wire budge a bit off center. Not bad but visible. It would be nice to see a thicker straight axle or maybe ends pressed flat to lock into the plastic better. I don't think I'm going to break it, but I could foresee stronger body builder types doing so. Great invention at a price and adjustability better than I could ever build myself.

What a relief!!
I love this for my forearms(It is harder to use on biceps and triceps, but it can be done) and I am aggressive with it. It is hard to use twice a day, but super easy to do it while watching TV in the evening for a couple minutes. I do appreciate the DVD that came with this and how it breaks it down to condition/injury and how it better utilize it. I do highly recommend this for those that have tight and/or inflammed muscles in the forearms.

Causes physical harm
Beware! I purchased this and used it a few times and it undoubtedly caused additional pain and damage to my forearm and elbow. I later conducted additional research and found NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE suggesting any therapeutic value for this type of treatment. There are plenty of clinical studies available from the NIH that can be independently verified. This device is 100% VOODOO MEDICINE, and all claims made on it's behalf are fraudulent. I posted a negative review on another site and I was threatened and harassed by the company. Stay far away from this very dangerous product!

Great for rock climber's
It's become a core component of prehab/rehab for rock climbers and part of my daily routine. My first impression was that it was going to be too bulky to be convenient to use and that it would break easily. Now after 2 months use my impression is that it really is too bulky to be convenient, but I bring it with me anyway. However, it doesn't seem as fragile as I original thought, so I don't worry about it breaking. My vote was 4-stars instead of 5 because I don't feel it does any better than a lacrosse ball; however, using the lacrosse ball seems like more work. Even though I use the Armaid a lot, I always feel regret for how much I paid for it. I want to be clear that I do think this is an great tool, but just not essential or fully worth the premium.A few things I've noticed with it are:1. Loads of climbers use it to really work the tendon spots, especially the medial epicondyle. I’ve been warned against that. Maybe read up on that before working tendons so hard?2. It's so very easy to massage forearm muscles with this that I ignore many other tasks in my prehab/rehab routine.3. Keeping it and a few other devices in the car makes the trip to/from climbing part of the workout during the time you are the passenger. I'm not really able to work the forearms the way I want to with a lacrosse ball when I'm in the car, but this device solves that.

Immediate results after first use
Started climbing 2 years ago, being carefull not to get injured. Suddenly 6 months ago, after a few months of heavy climbing, my middle fingers started to swell, being impossible to close. Docters did ultrasound (everything nomal) but told me to stop climbing, until the swelling would disappear. I stopped for 1,5 months with cold/hot treatment, without any significant results.Started to massage my forearm with my hands and it helped. Searched google to find forarm massage technique and found this. This helped me after first treatment, swelling is almost gone, and I can think about climbing again. Yaaaaay!
