New BalanceMen's 577 V1 Lace-Up Shoe

While new balance has become pricier over the years (as has everything) , I've enjoyed the fit of them for the past 25+ years (going on 45 now)...I hope (and no doubt they will exceed my expectations) that they last as long as my previous pairs (average life span is 5+ years per new sneaker ...)Also, I like that these in particular are (mostly) solid black, so they go well with business casual and the gym.Only negative (so I'd rate it a 4.997) is that there is gray on the tongue and on the back of the heel... still have to keep a pair of true dress shoes because of that ;) )

I ordered a size 7 wide at first, as that is my usual size. it was too tight and pinched my toes. returned and ordered a size 7.5 double wide and now these are my favorite shoes.I walk 2 miles a day and am on my feet at work and these make it feel like nothing. lots of ankle support, zero blisters or breaking in needed. very durable- though not very waterproof. if you step in a puddle your sock will probably get wet. style is good, they look like typical work sneakers.

The New Balance Men's MW577 Walking Shoes are a reliable pair of shoes. I purchased them about three weeks ago, and they are holding up well. As someone who purchases a new pair of shoes roughly every six months due to cheap mesh material, these New Balances are made with nice leather that you can tell is going to last for many years. The shoes themselves break in pretty easily, which is a good thing for people who are on their feet all day. I ordered my pair in a wide, and they fit very nicely. In terms of comfort, the shoes are wonderful for letting your toes breathe, but when it comes to the rubber soles, they are already somewhat flat. I personally wish these soles were a better material, such as memory foam. But keep in mind you may need to replace the soles. Lastly, for the design, the black leather is very nice, and is an easy to clean! My only complaint with the design is the huge New Balance Logo on the back of the shoes as shown in the picture above.

comfy and easy on the feet. wont go back to wearing boots again, unless it rains!

They look good, fit well but squeak and the cushion sole feels hard to me. They claim it as a "walking shoe" but I doubt I could walk in them very far. I'm going to add insoles, see if that helps.

Hi. The pair of New Balance “577 V1” walkers I received are comfortable once I’m wearing them but … they are a struggle to put on and take off. They are considerably stiffer, and tighter, along the sides/sidewalls than pair of New Balance “623 V3 Casual Comfort Cross Trainers” I purchased on Amazon a while back.To help put things into context for you, I am male, 5’10” tall, and my shoe size, is a standard 10.5, D width. While my experience is limited to the pair of “577 V1” shoes I received, I’m not accustomed to having to “work my way into” putting on my shoes. As I noted at the beginning of this note, these shoes are comfortable once they are on. Getting there is the thing ….
