Not the BMW of staplers that I expected...
The flat-clinch stapling is great, but minor problems make this stapler a poor value for the price. It takes a good amount of force to drive a staple into 8 or more sheets of paper. The two-fingered push that they brag about is more like a hard shove with the heel of your hand. The red button that opens the stapler to feed more staples doesn't always work and requires a firm push to open the mechanism. The B5fc came with 200 complimentary staples, size 24-6. It also arrived with smudges and dull spots on the shiny blue finish. It made me think that I had possibly received someone's returned item. Black would have been a better color choice.I will probably return this item for a refund and continue my search for the perfect stapler.

At time of this re-review, NOT recommended
Below is my initial review of this product, which I gave five stars (then) but now must alter that review. After a month or so of EXTREME light-duty (8-10 times a week) this stapler is not preforming as I would expect a German engineered piece to perform. I was looking forward to years of satisfaction, not months. The stapler initially went through a decent stack of US currency (20~30 notes) crisply and with precision, now the staples (also German made, for this stapler) hardly penetrate the same configuration, and the staple tips don't bend and crimp as one would expect, even from a Chinese manufacturer stapler. SEND ME A NEW ONE, MAKE ME A BELIEVER! Schnell!I go out of my way NOT to purchase Chinese made products, so after looking for a decent American made stapler (Swingline is Chinese) I searched "made in Germany" with stapler, and Dahle is what I eventually decided on. Very strong, sturdy and capable. Highly recommended and worth the extra $$.

This seems like a sturdy piece of equipment and I really like ...
Purchased the stapler this year for my classroom. Our school provides el cheapo junk staplers for free but they jam so much and break so often that I just got tired of asking for new ones. This seems like a sturdy piece of equipment and I really like the way you load the staples. One thing to be aware of though is that this stapler doesn't seem to open up flat like some others do, so if you are used to using your stapler to hang things on a cork board this won't work. It also has a nice light engagement, which doesn't seem like a huge deal but your hand and wrist will thank you after a long evening of stapling.

The Best Stapler I've Ever Used (with one catch)
This stapler is, hands down, the best I've ever used. Jams are just about non-existent, and it's paper capacity, even with cheap Office Depot staples, is amazing. The only problem I have is that occasionally a staple will get caught in the "flat cinch" mechanism. It would appear that the gap between the cinch plate and its (plastic) housing is a little too big, so if the paper happens to skew the trajectory of the staple away from the plate, it can get lodged in the gap. I'll not that this never happened when I was using the Novus staples provided with the stapler, which are harder, thicker, and much more expensive than those I currently use. The stapler has also been close to empty every time it's occurred, so the spring tension may play a role in keeping the staple straight.Lastly, the problem has only occurred about 5 times in the year I've owned this stapler; other than those few instances, this stapler has exceeded every expectation.

Definitely wouldn't buy again. Jams all the time.
Durable product which jams all the time especially with original Novus staples. Good idea to get the staples to fold flat but design is poorly executed. Not precision enough for a German company. Recently switched to Rexel staples which ironically are much better than the Novus ones.

Great price, must have product.
It is very big for a home use and take up quite a space but VERY good quality and it works perfectly. You don't need too much pressure but you need to make sure you pressed fully.I bought this for tidying up my child's study papers, which can be more than 30 pages per work.It came with 24/6 staples so I could use it straight away. I bought 26/8 to staple more than 25 pages, which this product handles without trouble.Price, quality, and number of papers it can staple, I am completely happy.

Erstklassig -
