Good quality air-dry clay, that will yield good results even for beginners.
You will get a 1kg resealable plastic bag full of clay here for a reasonable price. One kilogramme will last you a while if you're making smaller projects and is ideal if you're just giving this a go or want a decent amount for a project with the kids. The clay is good quality. It's smooth and easily formed. It takes water well (to keep it malleable as it dries out, or to join pieces with scoring and a slip).I've found drying it out is simple enough. Just leave it alone at room temperature and it'll be fine. You don't need to go at it with a hairdryer or leave it out in the sun! Drying time depends entirely on the size and thickness of your work, but it will most likely be three days to a week.Once dried it can be painted with regular acrylics and the like and the surface can be sanded or etched like regular clay. Give it a go, it makes for a great rainy afternoon and there are lots of inspirational ideas on the t'interwebs!

Simple, relaxing
A relatively large bag of air dry clay. I would consider this suitable for either very beginners if you're just starting out and unsure if you want to continue with air dry, or you already know you like air dry clay and have some tools etc already. The bag comes with some basic instructions, but a little bit more info would be appreciated on the packet. Can I paint it without exposing it to too much water? Does it need to be sealed to be used as a plant pot? Information I needed to look up elsewhere.I like it though, it's a pretty relaxing way to spend an afternoon.Don't be tempted to put the clay somewhere overly warm when it's drying. Trust the process and let it take its time.

Not the full kit, just an extra bag of clay
A 1kg bag of air dry clay, in a natural colour.Be advised, this is an extra bag of clay, to compliment the kits that this company sell, so there are no paints or tools etc with this bag.The bag arrives sealed, and once you open it, you will need to place it in a sealed container, and keep it moist, otherwise it will go hard. You don’t need to bake this type of clay, just moisten your hands and manipulate the clay into whatever you want, then just leave it to dry in the air. Decorating it is an option once it has dried. My grandson loves this type of clay, making all sorts of wacky figures.A great crafting medium.

No mess, no fuss!
A kilo of this air dry clay is a great amount for any project, the quantity really is great for one session or you can reseal for multiple use as the bag is thick and resealable. The clay itself is way to mould in the hands and handle to form shapes, we decided to make one piece with all the clay in one session, creating handprints and a plaque for the wall. The fact it is air dry means it should dry easily of its own accord, and that means no mess or fuss. We used cling film over aboard when rolling out the clay to avoid contact and any sticking, and a little water to ease it into the required shapes. Overall very impressed- a great one for the kids on summer holidays coming up soon!

Completely cracked into multiple pieces.
Worst clay I have used and smelled bad. I have used DAS clay and Sculpd clay in the past and never had any issues with my clay creations. But noticed an hour after I made the item it started cracking in multiple places so I kept applying more clay and slip to fill the cracks but this morning woken up to the whole creation cracked into multiple sections. So annoyed. I have another packet to use. So will attempt this again to see if it is user error and will update once I find the time to do it.
