The Potter

I love how KM can really bring it in the enemies to lovers department. She is the master at making me laugh while her characters go at each other before they go at each other.The Potter is no different. We start with Vance and Halle already in a full blown fight and it is awesome. Halle is this beautiful and sweet southern girl with a creatively sassy foul mouth. I freaking loved her from the start. She is quirky and hopeful, even after all her struggles. Such a contrast to the sexy grump known as Dr. Vance Potter. Dude is a legit a-hole. Instead of facing his struggles, he drowns himself in them. Luckily for Vance, Halle believes in him and his abilities so much that she overlooks his rough edges and pulls him out of his darkness.This story has it all: laugh out loud snarky banter, sweet swoony moments, angst inducing feelings, seriously sexy chemistry, wildly hilarious meddling brothers, a fiercely protective neighbor and a gold in a porcelain sink. This all adds up to a super heartwarming HEA.I could not put this story down, I wholeheartedly loved every minute of my time wrapped up in this world. My fingers are crossed in hopes that the other Potter brothers find their matches and let’s not forget Remington!

THEY MADE ME CRY!I did not expect that Kristy Marie! I wasn't sure what all was going to happen in this book but NEVER ONCE did I expect to get all emotional and actually shed tears! But I did! And you blew me away with this unexpected love story filled with brimming with pain, fear, loss, heartbreak, healing and so much forgiveness! AND THE LOVE!!!I enjoyed the age gap between the hero & heroine! I love a little age gap in my romance....and this one was written beautifully! Vance will remain a total surprise for you, just know I swooned a few times! Even had to message my friend who read it before me to brag on a fictional man. I adored this sad, grumpy broken man and the person he became under Halle's care was extraordinary! Halle is literally made up of sweetness and spice, this fierce determination & a fight so passionate that every single person in this novel will be and is impacted by her! How could you not love her just as much as Potter does! Just know that this is one of the most special romances stories I've read! There is so much healing and forgiveness in this book that it will leave anyone that has their own demons truly believing their own happy ending is waiting for them right around the bend!Now let's talk about the banter inside this book! 100% PERFECTION and made me smile, laugh and love these characters even more! Not just Halle & Vance though, but ALL of them! Especially the Potter brothers together! Kristy is definitely one of my go to authors if I want some flawless banter between characters! The banter and every single interaction, every moment between Vance & Halle made this novel EPIC!I have to throw in this little tidbit. There are some things said inside this novel concerning scars...both physical and internal. These are very important words! Please read them! Listen to them! It's okay for a romance novel to be healing for the reader! This is not the first time this author has managed to touch some type of insecurity or pain that I have and give me something to hold onto...something to fit to myself and give me courage...even just a little bit! That's sometimes all we need to make it day to day! For me...this was more than just a romance novel! It hit close to my soul!I want more of all of them but I'll happily take whatever of whoever Kristy is willing to give us! Hurry! Grab your copy and come swoon with me! Because some of the things this man says to her will leave you blushing or loving him! Or hug him tightly!

Dr. Potter wasn’t going to make it easy for her. She needed him to make her dream a reality. The only problem was, he was fighting his own ghosts.Together they would battle. Sometimes each other, but eventually they became allies to tackle the past that weighed each of them down. Two lost souls who would find solace in one another. Their scars, both physical and emotional, would not define them. They would fight to leave them behind and embrace forgiveness.Halle brought sunshine to his darkness. She may push everyone of his buttons, but she changed his world into the happily ever after he never saw coming. This grumpy surgeon has met his match with this small town, sassy, southern girl.The author brought us characters that were complex and tormented. Their pain and struggles were real. However, their perseverance and love for one another was beautiful. Vance, Duke, and Astor were brothers who would give a punch in the face as quickly as some unsolicited advice. Family through and through. They loved hard and I cannot wait for each of their story’s. And Remington…I want to know everything!The author intertwined her signature humor with this heartfelt love story. It was a journey to new beginnings and I loved every word.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author and damn did it not disappoint.Halle goes all the way to Texas to meet with the esteemed Dr Potter so she can finally put her past where it belongs, and look forward to the future and finally be able to live her dream. Only the person she meets with is nothing like the person he was on tv, no this Dr Potter is rude and standoffish who is refusing to help Halle. She refuses to take no for an answer and accidentally insults him, but unbeknownst to Halle Dr Potter is fighting demons that she just couldn’t comprehend.“𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙚. 𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙞𝙨… 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙. 𝙀𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛.”After being turned away Halle doesn’t give up, she manages to land herself a job at none other than Potters Plastics working for Astor Potter, Dr Potters older brother. Things are about to get interesting that’s for sure, the constant back and forth jabs had me laughing, Halle can give as good as gets and is definitely not afraid to call Vance on his sh!t. Their verbal sparring was their foreplay, and when they finally have in they were explosive.“𝙎𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙤𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙣.”Halle was definitely the light to his dark, Halle helped Vance with his demons and just when I thought they were getting somewhere, he acts like a complete a$$ that had me wanting to take his own scalpel to him….Also I have to say the side characters were awesome but the one that stole the show for me was Remington, that boy became Halle’s best friend and in the end her ride or die.My favourite quote by Rem ⬇️“𝘼𝙬𝙬. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙮. 𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮.”I hope he gets a book, that boy deserves it. There were a couple times when I got a little emotional with what Vance had gone through, absolutely deserves the five stars.

OMG I adored this book so much!!It’s definitely a grumpy/sunshine book and honestly that’s one of my fave tropes!!I loved Halle so much she was a darling I felt horrible for what she went through and then Vance was a grade A a** to her, but I loved him and I know he had his reasons, im so so happy that Halle was able to help him and Vance was able to help her while they both fell in love with eachother, what a story and I loved the ending, I NEED Duke, Astor and Remingtons book please and thank you!

Absolutely loved this book. I’m not great at writing reviews but it’s a must read. I’m sorry I’ve finished it already.

This book was honestly a surprise to me. It was well-written with flawless character development and two beautifully wounded people who had me rooting for them! The way some things about both Vance & Halle's past were revealed had me hooked. It's the story of a girl who thinks she isn't perfect yet still hasn't given up to live her life by taking some bold decisions. And the man is a fixer, he can reshape people's features but can't reshape his own past. A past that caused him so much pain that it still consumes him but he got lucky because an angel just arrived in his life who could get him out of his misery and be the cure he needed all along. The book deals with some pretty sensitive issues but at the same time, it had the classic humor that Kristy Marie's books usually have. Vance & Halle were so mesmerizing together! They were soulmates who were always meant to heal each other! I loved every single character including Vance's brothers and ofcourse, Remington. It was a great grumpy-sunshine romance and I can't wait for the next books in the series to come out already because I'm not ready to say goodbye to this world yet!

Love it, love it, LOVE IT! OMG what a great story. KRISTY MARIE is a seriously talented writer. I don't like the overly graphic carnal relations, but I just skip past it because the story is too phenomenal to miss. I'm going to be waiting for the next instalment to this series with bated breath.
