how do i read the cards, show me an example

I generally use a 3-card spread - past influences, what is important to know about the current situation, & the most likely outcome if nothing changes. I have found these cards provide direct answers that go right to the heart of whatever I'm asking about.

The booklet gives no information on reading or what the cards mean. Im a complete novice and got these as a gift. Can anyone direct me to a resource?
