Safe and Delicious Oil
Chosen foods makes a safe and high quality avocado oil. I use it for homemade chips in the oven, sauteing or frying meats and vegetables on high heat since it has a very high smoke point, up to 500 degrees, so you don't run the risk of creating a trans-fat when heating the oil up like you would with other oils, and many other uses. On top of it being safe it is also a very tasty oil.... can use for cold dishes like salads and stuff as well! Delivery was quick and easy like usual.

The Real Deal
Avocado oil is notoriously adulterated. This is the real deal. It is 100% avocado oil according The University of California, Davis. According to the study, 82% of avocado oil is either rancid or mixed with other oils. Don't let this happen to you. Plus, this oil has a subtle delicious taste that can handle the highest cooking temperatures.

Rocks for stir frying
I downgraded these a little for flavor and versatility, because quite frankly this largely excels at one thing. High temp stir frying and/or other similar uses. And for this they excel. Don't stick, don't burn, don't smoke, just stir fry well. This isn't something you put in a salad or pesto. Get this if you want the best for high temp stir frying, and in that role this oil excels. I loved the texture and the taste. I will add this to all of the dishes I cook.

It has a pretty good shelf life
This is a quality brand. The oil does not smell rancid, it smells fresh. The bottle is made of glass and it is dark to keep the oil more fresh. We don't store in the fridge either. It has a pretty good shelf life. Yes, it is pricier than other oils but it has many health benefits. Here are some of the benefit.;Vitamin K: 26% of the RDA.Folate: 20% of the RDA.Vitamin C: 17% of the RDA.Potassium: 14% of the RDA.Vitamin B5: 14% of the RDA.Vitamin B6: 13% of the RDA.Vitamin E: 10% of the RDA.Then it contains small amounts of Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Vitamin A, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin).

Surprisingly versatile oil for myriad needs
Since so many oils have a low smoke point (the temp at which an oil smokes and creates harmful free radicals), many like olive oil aren't good for cooking at higher temperatures. Avocado oil, however, can be heated to 500 degrees before it smokes, making it great for sautéing. Chosen Foods Avocado oil doesn't take like avocados - in fact, its flavor is milder than olive oil, so it's wonderful for cooking or baking. It is a slightly heavy oil (sort of like olive oil), so I prefer to cook with it than use it in salad dressing.I'd happily give this olive oil 5 stars but for the fact that Chosen Foods doesn't label it as organic. It is, however, non-GMO, which is very important to me - and hopefully to the rest of the health-conscious public. Product arrived promptly and very well-packaged.If you're looking for a healthy alternative to corn, sunflower, canola and other questionable oils that doesn't alter flavors the way coconut oil can or smoke at low temps like olive oil, avocado oil is worth a try. I really like it. Bon appétit!

Chosen Foods Avocado Oil
I really do greatly recommend this oil. It has a wonderful flavor and many health benefits. I also really appreciate that it does not smoke when cooking at high temperatures. One of my favorite ways to use it is in making homemade tortilla chips. They are light, crispy and have the best flavor of any chips I've tasted. I was really disappointed when Costco discontinued carrying this product. My only negative comment is the price. It was half the cost and a larger bottle at Costco, but it is still worth the extra expense for the quality and taste.

Good first impression.
Avocado oil is great for frying. I've only used it for a couple years, but is better than olive oil in most frying applications.I haven't used this particular product yet, but my first impressions with Chosen Foods is positive. The packaging was very appropriate and protective of the glass bottles. I mention this because you would be surprised how many retailers ship glass items as if they were weren't. If price seems high, keep in mind some of the item price supplements the $1.99 they are currently charging for shipping. I've shipped a lot recently and can tell you it is costing them a minimum of $6.00 if you include packaging materials and shipping costs, which again, they do very well.
