ABSOLUTELY THRILLED!
I had never used ‘General’ Gel Stain before, so after reading the Instructions, decided to give it a try. Key points to remember: stir well before using and intermittently if the project takes a while. Also allow enough time for each Coat to dry, I waited at least 24 hours. I used a small paint brush for the edging and details, and foam applicators for larger areas. The Results are Amazing!! I Love the Georgian Cherry - it is dark, but with a beautiful Cherry Tint that has a Satin Finish! I did 2 Chairs that have the table in between, so of course I just had to do the table as well. I am Thrilled with the Results!

Restored Native Timber look over horizontal beams in an A Frame home
Previous owners had painted the rough sawn horizontal Timbers to match the rest of the home. They were covered in basic latex paint. When we bought the place, it just looked blah. We treated the Timbers with this gel stain and could not be happier about the performance of the product and the finished appearance. For us, it was tedious work, because the Timbers were very rough sawn. In the end it was still work worth doing because the finished product was amazing.

Beautiful and easy to work with
This is a pine dresser drawer, it was prepped using 120/150 sandpaper then wiped with mineral spirits. After the 1st coat was allowed to dry overnight it was lightly sanded with 220 and this is the 2nd coat, after 3 hours. The gel itself was mixed for a full 5 minutes prior to use both times. The photo does not do the finish justice, it is beautiful. The color is even and the wood grain shows through, it is exactly the effect I was hoping to achieve.

The Best Gel Stain!
Beautiful professional finish! I also like that it is a thick stain- not as messy. A little goes a long way! I used liquid sandpaper to strip the railing. Then two coats of gel stain (however it depends how dark you want it). One coat allowed some of the wood grain to come through- which was also very pretty. Totally depends on the look you are going for.
