Used this welder to work on my Vw campervan and firstly packaging very good. I’ve used gas/gasless so far and tbh not much in the way of difference hardly any slag left . Automatic setting which is helpful . The leads are long which is great but not so electric cord. Next day delivery but before purchase I asked questions for hitbox who replied within 30 mins even tho they are based on China . I’d recommend this welder and also the MT200 I in which I use at home on other Vw products . 10/10 from me 👍

I believe you can't give a true review until you have used the product.This is a great machine for the price and after over 6 mths hard work it's never faulted. I would highly recommend this Hitbox product I also have the Hitbox Tig welder and the same applies great machine.You may be wondering why I only gave it a 4 star rating....I did contact Hitbox after receiving the Mig welder and told them they had sent the wrong one.. I ordered the latest one at the time and they were not interested so very disappointed in that...so I would say customer service doesn't really care once they have sold a product. I have stayed away from them since without good customer service it's a real let down....I did offer to pay any extra cost for the latest machine but not interested at all. So be cautious if you might need customer service. 4 star and would not recommend for that reason.

I bought this as a christmas present for my husband, it was opened this afternoon. He immediately noticed that the 13amp plug top has been fitted with a 25 amp fuse. This is potentially dangerous and a fire risk, as if a fault occurs this incorrect fuse could be dangerous. The correct fuse should never be more than 13 amp!Also, according to the photograph description welding flux wire is included, however this was not the case.I shall be contacting the seller for their comments.

Whilst the welder is of good sturdy quality. And it performs very well using mig argon gas and mig no gas. I felt the instructions were sparse and not clear. I am an experienced welder having gained a qualification from BOC many years ago. It would be nice to have instructions that made sense. Also a lot of welders I looked at before choosing this one. Came with wire and a mask. This was an added expense

Works well with stick and flux core not so good on gas

Other than arriving a day late even after paying the delivery it looked ok.Set it up ,wire and gas all ok.Started to weld within 2 mins error E60 overheat code and cut out on inspection of the case which otherwise looked perfect I discovered the cooling fan grille pushed in jamming the fan . Got that straightened out the fan started and welder cooled down .It welds ok but is underpowered it's 200 A NOT 250 . It's for a spare short term as my other inverter is away for repair ,no shame as it was submerged in a flood will see how this unit holds up and redeems itselfEDITTo be fair to Amazon within 2 days of welder arriving they without request refunded the delivery charge so cannot complain about their service

This came with a bypassed fuse in the plug.A regular 13 amp plug can only support a welder of 130-150 amps. Not 180 amps.When I raised this with Amazon they gave me a refund and let me keep the welder.
