Fantastic bulbs
Purchased these bulbs even though they got mixed reviews. Let me tell you these bulbs are fantastic work brilliantly well the app is fantastic as well now I can have mood lighting to suit every occasion.Don’t hesitate in buying these bulbs they simply work and I don’t know why other reviewers say they don’t work as good as they should as I found no fault connecting to WiFi they have not missed one heart beat. As regards to longevity I will update this review to reflect if the bulbs fail. 5 Stars

Bright lights
I saw the bulb recently reduced and thought I’d make a purchase. I’ve been wanting to start using some smart lighting in my home and thought I’d start with LIFX for the sole purpose I didn’t need a hub like The Phillips Hue products need.My first thought was is this actually the mini bulb on opening as it was quite a hefty size. I used the bulb in my Ikea Fado lamp and it looks amazing. Setup was really easy, install the LIFX app and follow all instructions and it’s that simple. The colours are amazing, so very bright for the mini and so many options to play around with. So far I’ve had no problems with connection drop outs and it’s working perfectly. I’m going to purchase more as they look fantastic.

A must get dont buy Philips Hue
The Lifx Mini puts out plenty of light, and offers all of the colours, features, and integrations that you get with standard-size Lifx bulbs at a lower cost. These are excellent smart bulbs, but it's tough to justify the splurge unless you catch them on sale.Unlike Philips Hue. These and plug and play lights setup is like ABC. Philips Hue work of a Hub u have to plug into ur wifi router. If you got have a spare port on ur wifi router. You're screwed.

Brilliant
We have 3 of these now once in a while u may have connection issues but this is not often. They are very bright and easy to use with your mobile. We connected them to Alexa it dose work although I find it is easy via the app on your phone

Great when they work properly
Most of the time these lights work well. Every now and then one will drop off the network and refuse to work with the app.Sometimes it appears in the app again after a few hours or a day, sometimes (once or twice a year) I have to reset it and reconnect it, which can take quite a while of fiddling around with the phone's wifi settings. But overall, they are quite good - I just wish they'd get that app sorted!

Extremely bright
I have sensitive eyes due to various factors , and I needed me a new lightbulb so I decided ; let’s go for something a bit more expensive. I’ve found the brightness on 100% way too high, naturally as this is fully customisable that is not at all a problem , if I need it low 1% is enough to see and not be too bright, and yet if I need some real oomph anywhere from 40-70% brightness gives that, the design in of itself is so very much nicer than a standard bulb - of course the price is extremely high and I hope in future such a thing is cheaper but I am happy.

Amazing bulbs
These Lifx products are fantastic. In addition to this one I also have a mini white and a Z LED strip.I have found this mini colour to be as bright as I ever need for a bedroom that is 3.5m x 7.5m, comfortably matching the Diall 23W bulb that it replaced. The Lifx app is good although I find it a little less intuitive than a previous version, new users won't have that gripe though.Homekit support is available but leaves a lot to be desired. I've experienced connection problems and lag when using Homekit and sometimes lights show "No Response" in Homekit, but are perfectly controllable in the Lifx app. So if you want to use automations, just have them trigger the Lifx app rather than through Homekit. Alexa support seems to work with no issues but I have stopped using my Echo so can't comment further.

Bright, vibrant, perfect! ...until they lose connection and require a factory reset
Do not listen to the people recommending these. I did and I regretted it. I did my research, watched YouTube videos, read reviews etc. None of them were honest about the connection issues these have. I had to google "Lifx connection issues" to find out just how many people are having issues. I don't know if the reviews and YouTube videos are sponsored, but none mention just how bad the connection issues are even though forums are riddled with people complaining about them. There is even an official response from Lifx on reddit admitting they know about the connection issues and are "working hard to fix them" but judging from customer's disgruntled responses, they've been "working hard to fix them" for years. They are the brightest and most vibrant smart lights available to my knowledge. But they are also the poorest in terms of connection reliability. If you don't mind wasting your life with a device that's supposed to make your life easier, not harder, then buy them. I've spent less time walking to a light switch in the previous 26 years of my life combined than I did troubleshooting these in the 6 months of owning them. Also, don't trust the justification of some people saying the router is responsible for the drop in connection. It isn't. I'm a software developer. My router is fine. Even if it weren't fine, a bulb is a wi-fi device. Any wi-fi device should have the capability of reconnecting even if it loses connection without requiring you to factory reset it and reconnect them by fiddling for 60 minutes with a broken app that's rated 2.8 on the app store. I don't think I'm technically challenged, at least I hope not because my future in this career would be bleak otherwise. If you so much as dare to change a setting on your router that needs a restart, or god forbid have a router from your ISP instead of a £400+ personal router, then these bulbs will lose connection because and you will need to factory reset them and spend 60 minutes fiddling with their broken app trying to connect them. The £9 TP-LINK bulbs have less features, worse colors and worse brightness, but they are 4 times cheaper and have no connection issues whatsoever. They are also wi-fi and I am using them with the same router that people who know nothing about networking or wi-fi told me could be the problem. Yet the TP-LINK bulbs are faultless. No disconnects unless I purposely restart the router. And when I do, they re-connect faster than my phone. They're just not as bright or colorful as LIFX. But I'm willing to make that sacrifice after the experience I've had.Do yourself a favor. If this review doesn't discourage you, at least buy only 1 LIFX bulb and try using it for at least a few months before you commit to an entire ecosystem. You'll thank me later.
