Be sure to have the same brand, type and speed
Bought it for an HP all in one P5 which had the same brand and speed but came with just 4Gb. Set it in slot 0 and both are working perfectly. The speed is quite different and I don't here the HDD working so much.Have it working for almost 2 months and it is a perfect match and great product.
