This Avène “cold cream” hand lotion is amazing! It’s hypoallergenic and not greasy at all. I squeeze the tiniest amount onto the back of one hand, and it’s enough to coat both hands completely. For less than a minute both hands are a little bit tacky as the lotion absorbs. It absorbs quickly and completely, and hands immediately feel smooth and soft. The fragrance starts out oppressively strong, but as it fades it becomes tolerable. Overall it’s a very pleasant experience! I like this brand well enough, but this is the first Avène product I’ve tried that I’d designate a “must have.” I bought the 1.6oz, but I wish I’d purchased jumbo tubes to put next to every sink in my house. Amazing!!!!
Got this cream in Paris for the first time and it was exactly what I needed for my dry hands. Super absorbent, makes my hands soft right away! Love the product but it’s pricey.

Nice but strong/heavy fragrance.
Very strong scent, other than the smell it is a fabulous hand cream. Lasts a long time and seems to last multiple hand washes before needing to reapply. Actually makes a difference in moisture level of skin. Just wish it was less fragranced it doesn’t smell bad it’s just slightly overpowering.

Very moisturizing
I bought this hand cream originally on our trip to Japan. With my career I am constantly washing my hands and they always feel dry. This cream is very moisturizing and love it. I just wish I could find the bigger size

Too fragrant
I used a couple of other Avene creams, but none of them were so fragrant like this one. It's quite intense, to where it makes my eye water. I would not recommend.

Ineffective and smells horrific
I can’t stand the scent of this. It’s a very strong, heavy, floral scent. And not a good floral scent. Like dead flowers that are still around that someone keeps drenching in a terrible combination of old perfume and cologne. And it is the least effective hand cream I’ve ever used. Pretty ironic considering the description says it’s suppose to last through 5 hand washings. I can’t even make it to the next hand washing (and I wash my hands a TON) without my hands feeling dry again. Really bummed I wasted $15 on this and Amazon won’t let me return it. It’s going in the trash.
