MizunoWomen's Wave Rider 24 Running Shoe

After 3 discs replaced & fused in cervical then lumbar spine, I'm in physical therapy 3x per week for months. I disclose that so you know that loss of balance is hard to regain, especially for an "older" person forced out of commission for a few months pre and post op. I had already Nike and Adidas, and bought these to get some variety. I noticed right away that I improved immedicately in the balance exercises, such as the 3D MAPS. So while I am not yet running, I can say with confidence that these shoes gave me a confidence in being able to perform better in getting there!

Love these shoes!! I have a pair for walking and a pair for running. Super comfy and light weight. They shipped quick and were in perfect condition when I received them. Highly recommend!!

I purchased these shoes for running. I have extremely high arches (My footprint is totally disconnected between the forefoot and heel), damaged knees and hips, am prone to Achilles tendonitis and shin splints, and supinate slightly (heels roll outward). I'm a mess, basically, so I need a shoe with a level 4 or 5 cushion and very sturdy support. But without being constrictive, as I have a high foot profile due to my arches. I also wear insoles and athletic socks when I run. And these were purported to be narrow, so I decided to go up a half size.I chose these shoes based on online reviews.ARE THEY NARROW?I was worried about the reviews that claim these are narrow. I don't have wide feet, but I don't have narrow feet either. And when I run, the ball of my foot and my toes "splay" apart a bit, so I usually prefer room in the toe box to accommodate for that. But on first wear, I don't find them narrow at all, particularly in the toe box, where I felt there was ample room. That was surprising.PROFILE:I DO find the laces go up higher on the foot than i typically like since I have a high profile and laces often cause my feet to go numb. I just don't lace the last eyes.COMFORT:These have a high degree of cushion and a snappy, springy response. I need the cushion, but like to feel the response with the running surface, so that snappy response makes them very comfortable overall. However, I still find numbness in my toes (Which is super common for me if I'm using, say, an elliptical) is still an issue.STYLEIf it matters, they're a nice, understated running shoe with a few small details that make them quite attractive. I got them in grey because grey goes with everything and after my shoes retire from running, they usually end up becoming "Schlepping around town" shoes, so I want to make sure they're not going to spend their sunset years clashing with my wardrobe.

You can't tell from the picture but the color goes well with shorts. I liked them so much I bought a second pair that I use to go out with. One pair is for dog walking so if it gets dirty I am not upset. Love them.

The Mizuno Wave Runner is a good sturdy comfortable shoe. I wear orthotics with mine, but the shoe also offers support. I don't run anymore but they last a good 400 miles for walking.

I was a huge fan of the wave riders many years ago, but along the way, Mizuno had made changes to the fit and the soles, and they no longer worked for me. I took a chance at trying them again, mostly because I could not find another supportive, neutral shoe, and I love them! I normally order a half size up from my "everyday" shoe size when getting athletic shoes, and this is true for these as well.

I started out with the black wave runner shoe and had purchased twice but desired to switch up color so ordered the gray. It was longer than the black and not sure why. I made them work because I didn't desire the hassle of returning them.

These shoes feel like walking on clouds I love them, I will be buying more.

I have been loyal to another brand for years, but have been looking to switch things up. All the reviews on this shoe are so good and I will support that the cushioning is stellar, but if you have wide feet, don't even bother. The shoes arrived so I am wearing them in the house to test them out and even sitting at my desk my feet are so constricted my toes are loosing feeling.

Dal 2013 a oggi ho corso con tutti i modelli rider dal 16, e più di un paio per versione, ma un usura del battistrada come su questo modello non l'avevo mai trovata e corro molto meno di un tempo. Dopo circa 500km si scolla e stacca un pezzo?! Assurdo! Ho un paio di 16 col quale a suo tempo ne avrò fatti 1000, ancora le uso per camminare ed è migliore.Pazienza per i lacci che da un po' hanno sostituito con un tipo meno elastico (e che mi rende meno agevole calzarle, anche se forse poi garantisce maggiore tenuta), pazienza per le vesciche ai primi usi, che i modelli precedenti non mi creavano, ma una durata del battistrada così scarsa mi può far dire solo che i materiali sono meno durevoli delle precedenti. Ci si corre ancora bene, e probabilmente proverò anche i prossimi, ma non mi sento più di sostenere che Mizuno sia un investimento anche relativamente alla durata dei prodotti. Molto delusa

I have now had 4 pairs of these in different colours.The best and most comfortable trainer ever. I got them because I have Plantar Fasciitis and these shoes made walking possible again .May be slightly too narrow for some people ?

I love these trainers. They’re so comfortable. I have a running pair and now I’ve bought a pair to wear around the house to protect my arches (covid working from home has not been good on my feet always being bare foot).
