Taste great and very bold aroma

My husband is from the cable in island and he heard about this coffee and His first time tasting this He said. "Bumba That's good to rascal"!!!!! Which is like oh, my God in Jamaica We will be purchasing more because of the flavor texture and overall smell of this coffee. We only downside to it is if you do not have a blender to grind up the beans. You have to get one.

Bought this as a gift for my coffee loving man. It arrived on time, and when it arrived I had to hide it, as it had a strong scent (smelled delicious and I’m not big on coffee), so if I just wrapped it, he would have know what it was. He opened it, and made himself multiple cups of coffees (he didn’t drink them all but wanted to taste, how each make would taste). Keep in mind he made the coffee using different coffee gadgets and accessories. He loved it and has said it has reminded him of the offer he had when he was over seas.

What this is: This is a whole bean coffee from Jamaica. Reading the product description it is a medium roast. My experience: I made this coffee twice because the first time it tasted weak. The first time- I measured 3 heaping tablespoons of coffee into my grinder. I ground it to almost fine. I used 3 (3/4 cup) servings of water in my traditional coffee maker and brewed it. I did use tap water for the first try. It smelled wonderful when I opened the bag. The aroma filled the house as it was brewing. Looking at it when it was done brewing, it wasn't as dark as I expected it to be. It looked a bit weak. To taste it, this produced a very mellow tasting cup of coffee. What I tasted was the perfect balance of bitterness. It has a nice sweetness to it. I can identify the honey and floral notes. It tasted weak though. It tasted like it was missing the "bang" of what I expect a cup of coffee to taste but had all of the side notes. The second time brewing, I increased the amount of coffee beans to 4 heaping tablespoons to 3 servings (3/4 cup each) of FILTERED water. Again, it smelled wonderful brewing. Looking at it in the coffee pot, it is definitely darker. The shade of this looked like I was stingy with the coffee beans and not as generous as I was. To taste it, it has a great taste. It is still gentle and mellow. It still doesn't have the "bang/essence/main flavor" of what I think coffee should have. The honey and floral notes are more pronounced. It tastes like a coffee shop coffee not a grocery store coffee. It has a good balance of bitterness. 4 stars: This is a good coffee. It is a gentle mellow flavor. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I feel it is missing the main flavor of how I like my coffee. It has all of the side notes though. It produced a very different cup of coffee than I am used to.

Aside from my package came open and half the beans poured out into the bag it came in and took 3 weeks to be delivered, it's not as strong in taste as the aroma. Aroma wise, it's nicer than all the brands I had. But that's about it. The taste didn't stand out. I was looking forward to this. It's very hard to find a Jamaican Blue Mt. blend that is good. To buy the 100% JBM is costly. Kona is the same way.

Great tasting coffee. Tastes like the real deal instead of a blend. I could tell when l opened the bag. The aroma was like pure Blue Mountain. Great price! Will definitely buy again!

I know my coffee; having just returned from the Caribbean all I wanted was a good high quality coffee, and oh boy is this brand good! I have purchased blue mountain beans before from the Caribbean and this is on par! Highly recommended
