Do yourself a favor and buy a caulking gun tube of good silicone sealant. Mine drove me nuts before I put the skin on then it rattled in different areas after install. They give you half enough silicone. It requires thick beads to cushion the 2 areas. Get plenty along the windshield area

Will it eliminate the aweful rattles in the dash because of the cracks?

The cover itself may stop some of the rattling, but ideally you must use extra silicone adhesive (we sell extra tubes on dashskin.com that you can bundle with your purchase) and reinforce the cracks with the glue to keep the broken pieces still and bonded together.
