It's perfect for butchering meat and decapitating people while on horseback
It's really a 4.5. It's unbelievably sharp, really cheap and well made. It's easily as sharp as a ceramic knife, the bald spot on my arm will attest to that. I took .5 off the review because the cutting edge has 2 almost microscopic imperfections which may have been caused by the packaging it came in but affect nothing. It's much bigger than the 9.5 inch blade and the picture would suggest with a substantial heft to the blade. The fulcrum is about 1/4 inch above the handle and I'm sure it's designed that way to make cutting meat easier. The handle is hard plastic and is very slip resistant with a fantastic feel and finger guard.Edit: The high carbon steel blade is why there are 2 chips in it. The metal is super hard and if not careful it can chip. Its still an amazing knife.For the price I'm beyond impressed and have already purchased another Wilco Stal knife (boning).
