HUION A4 LED Light Pad Tracing Light Box Adjustable Brightness AC Powered - 12.2x8.27 Inch

Bright, portable, 120V converter provides ample power and convenience. These are my third and fourth Huion tablets. I wish their power/brightness switch was less temperamental, but my years-old tablets are still usable, if annoying to control by the increasingly less responsive switch.

This is a wonderful light box! I had ordered another light box, but returned it because it did not work for me. I am a watercolorist working mainly on 140 lb watercolor paper. I used to draw directly onto the watercolor paper, but decided I would try drawing on sketch paper and tracing my own drawing to the watercolor paper to keep the watercolor paper clean and free from erasures. The first light box I ordered was not bright enough to see the details in my drawings. This one works really well! It is so much quicker easier and cleaner to use a light box instead of using messy transfer paper or having to take the time to put a layer of (also messy) graphite on the back of your original drawing and trace over that. The highest praise that I can give this light box is that I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to friends.

The good: I use this item to view films. Has consistent and flat light surface that stays cool to the touch. Surface is completely flat all the way to edges, so could accommodate a larger sheet of paper or film. It is THIN (about 5/16 of an inch!) It has soft felt "feet" that keep your table from getting scratched up. I have run this light box for several hours at a time with no fluctuation in light at all. Holds a FULL 8.5" x11" image all the way to the edges with room to spare.The bad: Power cord is a measly 3' 9" long. I mean seriously--not even 4 feet?? The length is ONLY enough slack to make it from your desk to the floor. It must remain plugged in (can not "travel" around the room and no battery options.) The "HUION" label and the centimeter markings are permanent on the surface (so if your don't want or need them, you can not remove them.) The markings are small, but they do detract from the over-all space. I would have given this product 5 stars if they had made a reasonable length power cord with a switch-type power source. The power button now is a touch control and I'm afraid it will not last as long as long as a traditional switch.Overall: For this price point, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I also bought a cover (sleeve) for a MacBookPro 15" which fits this item perfectly (with the cord!) This is exactly what I needed for drawing and lettering. I bought the one with the AC adapter (instead of USB or battery) and I'm glad I did. I was able to trace through several pages of 32 lb paper. I've only had it for a short time, but I've been able to use it a lot. I was able to finish a project that I was previously struggling with the layout. I hope it lasts a long time.Update Oct 2022: this light box is awesome. I’m even able to trace through 140 lb cotton watercolor paper. Definitely would recommend to anyone interested in art work.

Excellent light box for artists. Only teeny, tiny gripe is the location of the on/off button. I hit it all the time....

I love my new HUION light box. I am and have been a quilter for 20 plus years. The last 5 or 6 years I have been doing a lot of appliqué quilts. Other light boxes I have used were bulky and hard to use. They seemed more fragile then this HUION light box. They weren't as bright and they were harder to store. Quilters like other artists have plenty of supplies. This HUION light box is much more practical to store as it is the same size for drawing on but much more compact. Most importantly to me was the price. Since I buy so many supplies I appreciate spending less and getting more. I would highly recommend buying this light box. This is a sample of one of the appliqué quilt blocks I have made using this light box.

I bought this item to use for appliqué. It works well and is bright enough to be visible through dark fabrics. It’s light weight and portable for taking to workshops. It does not come with a carrying case even though the pictures with the product show one.

I bought this Light Box to use for tracing patterns for applique onto a quilt. It is very bright; in fact it is the brightest model offered by this manufacturer. It works great for my purposes. I have even been able to see through two layers of quilting weight cotton (one cream colored, the other a medium green) enough to trace a line for embroidery on top of the applique piece. The cord is a little on the short side at 6.5 feet, however it is not a problem for me. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect shape. All in all, I think it was a great investment.
