So good!
Other brands do not compare to Quaker Grits. These are quick cooking - not instant. There's a world of difference . Instant grits -in my opinion - are not good. I start with 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon salt brought to a boil. Whisk in 1 cup of grits and 2 tablespoons real butter. Reduce heat to simmer/low. When the grits thicken, whisk in 1 cup whole milk. Let them simmer about 10-15 minutes or until thickened again. Whisk often. Whisk in 1 cup heavy cream and 2 more tablespoons real butter. Simmer about 10-15 more minutes , whisking often. I use a hand mixer before serving to get rid of any lumps. No to lumpy grits! Each person eating can add cheese to theirs, if they want it. Also, sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, or fresh tomatoes mixed into the grits, or served alongside with hashbrowns or fried potatoes, toast or homemade biscuits, gravy, but not catsup! These are rich and creamy and oh so tasty! Leftovers are just as good heated over in the microwave. Just stir in a little milk, cream, or water if they have thickened. Yum!

Good item.
Came in pretty quickly. Was exactly what we were looking for. We had ordered from another store (not Amazon) and it was a nightmare with it coming busted and useless. This seller got it right.

Yummy Breakfast
Very economical compared to store bought store kind. makes perfect creamy grits which you can make plain or add your favorite ingredients. Per servings is a huge difference. I highly recommended for anyone wanting to cut their grocery bills.

Bag was open.
They are good grits, but the bag was open and spilled all over the inside of the shipping box. I managed to save about two thirds of the of the grits. The grits themselves are just fine.

Cooks up nicely without lumps
These classic grits are on the coarse side the way that I like them. They cook in 5-10 minutes depending upon your desired level of doneness. My recipe is 1 quart of chicken stock to 1 cup of grits, whisked and simmered for 10-20 minutes (to allow them to thicken up to my liking). I add a few slices of cheese at the end to make them cheesy grits.Grits are tasty and can be cooked a lot of different ways. I prefer mine with broth but you can also use equal parts of milk and water or just water alone in the preparation. If you add cheese, fold it in at the end of the cooking process - off the heat - so it doesn't stick to the pan.
