As someone who has used many different caffeine sources and pills, I was genuinely surprised at how little of an energy “spike” I experienced while using this product. I found that this product worked really well for me. Originally, I noticed an extreme level of alertness beginning around a half hour after taking the pill and it lasted all day long into the evening up to bedtime. I had no trouble falling asleep like normal even though I could still feel the effects late at night. After a few weeks the strong alert feelings seemed to diminish somewhat. Now, I take it early in the morning along with all my other pills and it seems to kick in about a half-hour later. It may not feel as strong as it did at first, but it works well enough that I take it nearly every day even though its effects seem more subtle than it was at first. It's still effective in making me feel more alert and less sleepy during the day at work. I also carry spare Time Release Caffeine Capsules in a small bottle inside my lunchbox in case I didn't take it earlier at home on mornings I already felt alert.
