A land of discovery stretches out before you. Explore the beautiful yet rugged world of RiME, a single-player puzzle adventure. In RiME, you play as a young boy who has awakened on a mysterious island after a torrential storm. You see wild animals, long-forgotten ruins and a massive tower that beckons you to come closer. Armed with your wits and a will to overcome-and the guidance of a helpful fox-you must explore the enigmatic island, reach the tower's peak, and unlock its closely guarded secrets.

Lovely and Haunting
This is a beautiful puzzle game presented in five stages, each with its own style. The first is Denial, the next is Anger, so -- of course -- you can guess what the other three are. It starts with its protagonist washed up on a beach and he must figure out how to move on through a somewhat open world setting. The puzzles are fairly easy to figure out, you just have to find the right path (which isn't always obvious). The music is great and the graphics are really pretty. The cut scenes explain the plot (which kept me guessing to the end). When the character dies (which can happen for various reasons, usually falling) the reloads are really fast. Two tips without spoilers: 1) When all else fails, shout; and 2) It's really easy to adjust the brightness for places with no light. Don't fumble in the dark if you don't need to!I'm not sure what the re-playability is. Once you figure out the puzzles and what you need to do, you could run through the game very quickly. That said, you collect various prizes through play (you have to find them) and at the end there is a scene where these treasures are displayed for you, so if you want to be complete, you might replay.

Truly a Gem
Truly a gem. The Soundtrack is amazing and the story gives you that charm a Zelda game offers as well. You can tell a lot of heart went into this game and I truly enjoyed to the core. It certainly has replay value and I am not finished yet but I know this game will stick with me. The music alone gives me happy tears. Any age, especially adults like myself, will love this. I think adults will appreciate what went into this game. The customer service for this studio is very nice as I asked them if they will release a soundtrack, no set date when or plans to deliver one, but support this game to the max... they deserve it.Update: I finished the game and it moved me to tears. Go into this game blind and DONT research any gameplay except the trailer (to make sure you'd enjoy the style of this game) but go in blind and the game turned out to be a completely different game than what you know, by the end everything you know changes, in a brilliant way.Game took me 7 hours to play through the story, I have yet to find all collectibles but definitely am going to play this again for them and there can be an alternate ending by doing so. There is no dialogue just Oohs and ahh's but it isn't needed to make this game for what it was. 11/10

Gorgeous visuals and music, but game play itself is a bit of a mixed bag
Overall, I'm glad I played this game.Pros:- Beautiful, thoughtful visuals. Like a combo between Miyazaki & Disney!- Well-done orchestration that mostly fits the scenes very well.- Touching ending- No super-obtuse puzzles- Reasonable controlsCons:- Not strong enough thematic lead-up / narrative- Puzzles can get a bit repetitive- One antagonistic element was a bit annoying / unnecessary- Would have been nice to have had some more contrast in the music (especially joy and playfulness); it's 98.6% somber/contemplative

Simple and pleasant
I really like this game because the puzzles aren't over complicated, and the game play is relaxing. There's not much to it. Wander the landscape to solve puzzles, open a new area, wander some more, and solve more puzzles. The challenge gradually increases the more you play, and there are lots of opportunities to collect things or earn trophies. There isn't a captivating story, and the collectibles are mostly for completionists but it's great for casual gamers.

A Great Experience for Everyone
Its sort of like Myst meets ZeldaPros-It's a pretty, uniquely artistic celshaded world-The puzzles seem smooth and do no stifle the flow of the game-There are not a bunch of useless things you need to run around and collect, however if you want to explore the worlds you will be rewarded for nooks and cranniesCons-It's short, you could finished it on a Saturday

It's a puzzle game whose inspirations were clearly the likes of Ico or the Last Guardian. Unfortunately, the puzzles are not nearly as interesting or rewarding, and the story doesn't hold together well. I'd though some of the mysteries would pay off at the end, but they ended up being superfluous. The game is gorgeous, though short. If you can get it at a steep discount, it'll kill an afternoon for you.
