I am using as scroll to control my 46 foot long family tree. Comes with Velcro so adding Velcro from Walmart to my chart to attach to wooden poles.

Glad I tried something new.
I bought these rods because one of my old rods started to split and I couldn't keep the threaded metal part in the end in. It kept turning and would come out more and more. I got these new rods just to try it already deciding that I wasn't going to like them. Well I do like them. It's so much easier than sewing the aida cloth onto the strip on my old rods. It only took me a few minutes to put it on. The instructions are clear, but the diagrams leave a little to be desired. However I was able to do it without any trouble.
