Fun, hilarious, varied single player campaign. Drop the mulitplayer
This game offers both multiplayer and single player rules. Unfortunately no one cares about the multiplayer. As it seems 90% of the negative reviews are about the rock, paper, scissor mechanic that no one likes.Worst yet if you bought the game for the single player (which is the only reason you should be getting this game), the instruction booklet makes you read how to play multiplayer, then for single player mode itll tell you to remove this or that rule or change this action. Its really an annoying way to learn how to play the game. Now that we got that out of the way. What kind of game do we have here?Basically you are treated to a card building game where you must traverse around a map, with random encounters, and follow a campaign story. booklet (kind of like choose your own adventure game) The story is intriguing and hilarious at times. As you get towards the end, the developer has you change the rules of the game completely. Its pretty cool. Full of twists. You never know whats going to happen next. But once you get through the book in a few hours, you are craving for some more.Luckily there is an expansion coming out that adds sooooo much more gameplay mechanics, streamlines a few things, and adds tons of content. So if you like the game you have that to look forward to.'This game does have a few shortcomings, yes, but I feel it was a pleasant and surprising game to play. And its cheap. Which is rare.

So much potential in a tiny box... Not so sure it was worth it
Beautiful art, no question. Talented guy illustrated and designed this sucker, and he does pretty good demo videos too. The base duel game is like a mildly more interesting Rochambeau. The coop/solo campaign mode ("Tall Tales") adds many unique items, multiway branching stories as you move around a map encountering various enemies and story scenes. I will revise this review once I've had time to properly play Tall Tales.

Don't waste your money.
I expect more then I received. Come on rock paper scissors for a win condition. Now new expansion changes the game format in combat . Spend more money? no! Don't waste your money here.

Very cool art work...but that is about it. Wonk Wonk. Two thumbs down.
Very cool art work...but that is about it. Wonk Wonk. Two thumbs down.Game is so repetitive and basic. Think black jack with a sci fi western theme.

Great art and depth of gameplay
Amazing artwork, game is fun. I agree rule book is confusing if you are considering this game..watch the YouTube videos on how to play, so much better than the rule book. I haven't played tall tale yet with my friends but the duel was quick and fun..to try and see what elements he would play first
