Glad I bought this.
This item seems to be well made, sturdy with sharp knoves. It came today while I was out grocery shopping. I washed it in sudsy water, then used it on some sirloin steaks I had bought. It works beautifully without having to use much pressure however, when I was using it in areas with heavy fat and sinew, I did have to apply a bit more force. What I especially like is that it has a safety locking position that keeps you from accidentaly pushing the knives through the base platform. It will be easy to store because it won't take up much space. I will update after I have tried it on several kinds of meats. Update: What I have learned is that piercing meat before you cook it can also cause juices to come out of the meat, leaving it a bit dry and with some flavor loss. So I experimented and used tthe needles on cooked meats like chops and steaks and this has made a big difference. I let the cooked meat rest for 10 minutes, then use the needles, it does a great job. As for cleaning: I soak mine in a bowl of very hot water with some dish liquid in it but not so deep ast to submerge it, then I use a clean toothbrush to work on any bits still in the needles.

Good Quality
I bought this to see if it would make a big difference with getting flavor into the meat. I honestly can't say it makes a massive difference. The product does work well and I am completely satisfied with how it works and what it does. I just am not sure it helps get more flavor into the meat. It does seem to help tenderize the meat though. Which the description does say it is good for that and it does seem to help. The more you use this on a piece of meat the more tender it will be. I was more leaning the flavor route based on some youtube videos I had seen, I am always looking for ways to get a more flavorful piece of meat on the smoker/grill. I will continue to use this and do some more testing but for now, I do give it a thumbs up.

Well built gadget!
I have tried out the tenderizer on chicken thus far, and it appears to work well. The tenderizer is surprisingly well made for the money. Only time will tell as to how long the little blades will last. I use it on a softer cutting board, so that should help prolong the life of it.I did notice that the chicken I made cooked up nicely, but it seemed as though the end result dried out quicker than I am used to--it's as though the juices seemed to come out quicker once I took the pieces off of the grill. But I don't yet attribute it to the tenderizing process. I will update the review as I try this on other meats over the next few weeks.

It works, but cleaning is not easy. I have only used this on beef. The description and instructions say do not submerge in water, but you really can't even run the black top portion under water real quick to wash, as water still gets into that section. I needed to because my hands weren't clean and rinsing/cleaning raw beef off the top was necessary. Also when you put the clear plastic protective lid back on the air tight pressure causes water to exit the rim of the where you push down.
