Rauschenberg / Dante: Drawing a Modern Inferno Hardcover – May 16, 2017

The book, which started as a Ph. D, dissertation, profits from careful work in tracking the magazine sources of R's designs. Unfortunately, the writing is poor, with too many crammed sentences, and the arrangement of the illustrations is confusing. Yet the monograph remains an important contribution to the explication of a turning point in American modernist art.

The images of the cantos at the end of the book, are medium and ist difficult to watch the details of the transferworks.
