I really like this paint. I paint by pouring and these bottles are smooth and consistent. They give a thin pour which works well for my needs. The paint itself is excellent. Great consistency and beautiful colors. This paint is a staple in my studio.

Color dulls when dry.

I paid more thinking it would be right for dotting. It is actually as thin as the cheapest paint.

I like the way this paint dots - the dots stay like bumps when it dries. The FolkArt Dots paint flattens out when it dries. I ordered this paint in red and Holo. The red is more of an orangey red to me. I prefer a true red. The Holo is nice - it is white until it dries completely, then it's clear with glitter.

I tried this out on a test canvas before I use on a much larger project that will take more time and I’m very happy with it. I was picturing this looking like puff paint, but thankfully it’s just raised slightly to provide texture. This would be a very difficult effect to achieve with acrylic mediums, so it is well worth purchasing this paint separately and in addition to other acrylics. I’ll be able to create some interesting effects when used with highly liquid paints. I love the smoothness where it dries raised, unlike thick paints or paints mixed with molding or gel medium. Also, I LOVE the Neon Orange. I keep trying different orange acrylic paints from different professional and craft brands because they all have different pigments regardless of the minerals and binders used, and now I’m looking to match this color in other professional acrylics which isn’t easy. These don’t say if they’re lightfast, but I haven’t found neon orange acrylics in any brand that are.
