The hat is very stiff but extremely well made, not something you would wear in a car or on a plane.Very nice hat for wearing on the beach or out in the sun, great UV protection

I got the straw, vented Panama hat. Arrived in a hat box and pristine, and the headband lets it adjust to most sizes. It fits great and looks great. Only issue I have is that although it is straw, and all the wording in all descriptions say straw, I of course expected a straw hat; it isn’t. Well, it was straw before it got painted inside and out. So essentially, it's a plastic hat. It's hard to grip when putting on or taking off, and quite simply, is disappointing it's not plain straw. I would spend the money to replace this with a plain, non-painted, straw hat. That all said, it is a handsome hat.

I wore this hat all over Egypt in 100 degree plus weather and it was cool and lightweight yet sturdy enough to maintain its shape. It comes with a cord to help keepIt on in wind, but it was not very cute so i took it off. It’s just a plain basic black cord, it should be leather like the band but you could replace it or remove it. Just know there will be two tiny holes if you remove it. To pack this i wore it on the plane since it’s pretty stiff/hard like a straw cowboy hat which is what I wanted. Comfy , durable and cute! Fits true to size and has a band that helps gripIt to your head.
