I buy lots of quilting books. I am a professional writer; experienced seamstress / quilter. This quilting book was such a delightful surprise! Storybook and pattern instruction all within one cover. Rainbow Nest could work for a baby shower even if the giver did not finish the baby quilt detailed at the back of the story. Rainbow Nest could certainly work as a newborn gift when the giver finishes the quilt and gives to new mother along with the story book. Rainbow Nest definitely was worth the price, especially for a baby shower gift or gift for newborn's mother. Rainbow Nest has inspired me to be even more creative.

I cannot wait to complete the baby quilt and give it away...with the little book it will make a beautiful baby gift for either a boy or girl.

Thought this was a quilting book so was disappointed when it arrived and it was a little story book. It does have the quilt pattern for the quilt on the front which I love and plan to make. Love Edyta Sitar quilt patterns!!!

This is a fun little book with a great quilt pattern but be aware……..it is about an expectant mother who sees a baby quilt and some scraps get used for the Robin nest. It would be a great read for a child who is expecting a sibling if the mother was a sewist. I returned it simply because no one in our family is expecting.

This is only a small book but very endearing. It's a story about new beginnings and birth, great if you are expecting and have an older child to explain to. The quilt is beautiful and the book has the pattern at the end for those who want to make it. I thoroughly recommend this book.

This is a very small book & the quilt shown on the cover is the only quilt in the book. Nice quilt, nice story for small child.
