I put the antenna up about 10 meters and used LMR-400 cabling. I ran this antenna for about a week before switching to the 10dbi antenna. This antenna works great and is much shorter than the 10dbi antenna. It also comes with a short -400 cable which is great if you mount your miner close to the antenna. There are many factors when selecting an antenna and it's always good to research which antenna is best for your location and purpose. I stayed with the 10dbi antenna because I could get out further and it is perfect for my location being in open terrain and placed high and outside.

I know this is exactly the use case, but these 3dB antennas are great for picking up ADSB planes - 1090Mhz - these antennas do great, and this one with the low loss cable is even better. its a very thick cable, and needs basically to be formed to where you want it to be, it will easily hold up the antenna if you tape the cable in place. comes with a pole mounting kit. Has a SMA connector on one end and a N type on the other with the N Type on the antenna, but I did need a RP SMA to SMA connector to make it work with the ADSB receiver.
