Fair Indigo Women's Fair Trade Organic Boat Neck Dress

Love the color, the fit, the softness, and the quality all around. The material isn’t very thin, like a lot of cotton dresses, and it’s not too thick either. I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs and bought the XL in navy- I plan to wear it for fall family photos and to teach middle school! And I love it so much, I’ll buy it in every color.

I love this dress and received several compliments the first day I wore it. I am now going to get it in another color. It is a perfect length, just at the top of the knee. I am 50 years old and it can be really hard to find simple cotton dresses that aren't too short or have thin straps and show cleavage. I also like that it's fair trade but doesn't look woo-woo - it's just a nice, work-appropriate dress. It looks great with a cardigan or jacket or by itself.I have not washed it yet and think I may get it dry-cleaned as I am not sure how well the color will hold up. Black cotton can fade quickly.I am 5'6" and 150 pounds and the M fits me well, no lumps or weird baggy spots. However, be aware that if you are busty or apple-shaped this is probably not the line for you. I am a C cup, very short-waisted with long legs and carry my weight around the waist and hips. I bought three different Fair Indigo dresses and they all fit me well, but if I were a bigger cup size or had broader shoulders even the large would be too snug.

I’m a little confused. I ordered the scoop neck, long sleeved tee and it fit a little small. One thing I have noticed between both items is that it’s a little baggy in the shoulders. I am a petite person but I am also pretty heavy. The shirt fit small but this is a lot bigger. I’m 5’2” and it hits below my knees. The hip on it sits lower as does the waist of the dress. This is not a shapeless or a-line dress. It’s really cute with a belt but without it fits me awkwardly. It’s just big. I’m hoping a run through the dryer might shrink it enough to fit me right but we will see. The color is wonderful. Fabric is very soft and comfy.

Comfortable as my favorite T-shirt yet stylish enough to wear to the office or dressed up for an evening out. I love the wash & wear easiness of Fair Indigo dresses. I wash mine with soap berries and baking soda. I bought 2 of this boatneck style, each with a lovely rich color that's garnered numerous compliments. While I have some short sleeve styles, I'm partial to the elbow lenght half sleeve. It's versatile year round with layering. I get style, versatility, comfort, orgainc cotton, low-impact dyes, fairly traded, allergen-free dresses in one package!

LOVE this dress. It is absolutely worth the price. For size reference; I am a pear-shaped size 16 and the XL fits perfecty.The dress is very flattering on me. The cotton fabric is lovely and silky, the dress skims my hips but isn't a shapeless 'tent' at all. Subtle and I could wear it any wear, any time. I bought the black, and will buy the purple if amazon ever gets it in my size.

I have another dress in medium from Fair Indigo that fits perfect, but this seemed to fit a bit large in the same size. Not a great fit if you have a little extra padding in the back and this also accentuated my little tummy. The sleeves were also a bit long and hit in a weird spot. I love the color and the neckline, but it has to go back. I might have loved the style a few years and 10 pounds ago.

I like this dress. It's sensible, super soft and fits well. My upper arms are a little hefty and the extra large fits well everywhere but my arms. Luckily, the fabric is very forgiving so the tightness on my arms is not unbearable.

This is a beautiful dress. It is so soft next to my skin. They aren’t too thick or too thin. They can be layered or tied with a belt- they’re are so many ways to wear this dress.I own a few of these dresses already. They endure the washer and dryer well, but they’re better if they dry flat. I just wish they had lighter colors. Enjoy this dress!
