Getting help starting a chain
Found this work to be very helpful for beginners in knitting wire chain. Very well organised. Simple instructions that actually work. Enough photographic support to clear up any confusion. This work is a must for every beginner. I am glad as an advanced practitioner to have found this work which will, from now on, be listed in my bibliography as a great resource for beginners!

Viking knit
I have watched many videos on Viking that read many tutorials and this one gave me the one thing that I was missing from all of the others and that was a way to trap trap my wire from adding on so that it doesn’t just dangle loosely in about and stick out and poke you when you’re working with the wire. I got some great ideas and enjoyed the simplicity with which it was all presented

Only good explanation for weaving styles
This book does explain how to do basic Viking weaving very well, good pictures so visual learners like me can easily learn. Once you learn the single double and triple weaving that's it. There is only a short explanation on double and triple stitch in this book. There was nothing else for me in this book. The earrings was just a repeat over and over of the same design with different color wires and beads. I didn't like any of them. The few necklaces were ok but not for me. I like elegant with nice finish looks. In my opinion the author should have included different variations from simple to nice expensive looking jewelry to reach all tastes and this book would be much better. If you are looking to learn the 3 styles it may work for you. So, take what you learn search the net for better inspiration and develop your own creativity. I am including a picture of a single stitch necklace I made before I purchase this book. I purchased this book to learn the double and triple stitch only and I got a short explanation.

Very clear and concise
I chose this book to learn the weave, and was pleasantly surprised.. I tried another book long ago and was confused by the directions. I work in wire so I had some understanding of wire and how it handles, but the instructions required a lot of trying to decipher the writers intention of the directions. Rachel has great pictures and is very clear about what is to be done. I was shocked at the difference it made! I started a bracelet and finished it the same afternoon, without problem. I highly recommend this book to anyone, even if you have never worked with wire before! You will have no trouble with this wonderful and beautiful weave. Kudos to Rachel for keeping it simple, with explanations for how and why when showing variations.

It's a great book!
The book has step by step instructions on how to set up the dowel for viking weaving. There are also instructions for single, double and. triple viking weaving. The best is that the book shows how to add beads to the weaving!

Not worth the investment
While this book did have a couple of bits of information - the same information can be found for free on the internet. I'm glad that I got the Kindle version rather than the printed one as I would really be upset with paying twice as much for so very little information and ideas. Too many of the projects were so much alike to fill up space that this book could have been 1/2 as many pages without losing anything. The only reason that it got the 2 stars is for the few bits of new information that it did have but I would definitely not call this book a comprehensive guide. So I'm back to looking for a book or DVD or anything that can help me take the Viking Weave to the next level - something that will inspire me to take a simple chain to the next level.

Helpful and Informative
It's not a big book but it is informative. As a relative beginner to Viking weave, I found the book very helpful and now that I've been doing it for a while there are still variations that I keep going back to the book to learn.

Disappointed
The book looked like it had been self printed. Very poor photos and did not have the feel of a professional text book. Was so looking forward to this book but massively disappointed.

Good as a starter but Expensive for what it is.
This is a good little book to get you started, ideal for hobby beaders or someone more advanced to get them started on something new. Clear descriptions and clear pictures and the projects are within anyones reach. Was expecting something more in-depth for the money it cost, really should be called a brief introduction.
